I enjoy working on tooling, simple tech, and learning. One day I'll know things. I try to write Scala and host the Tooling Talks podcast. he/him

It's been a while since I threw something up here, but I've really been digging Metals as an MCP server so I wrote a little post about it.

So after 5 years of working at the Scala Center, my final work contract will be expiring July 31st (EPFL rules). I have thoroughly enjoyed working in such a great community. All this to say I am now looking for something new (remote/Switzerland/EU/UK).

It was an absolute pleasure to be able to moderate this panel. A lot of insightful thoughts in here. Give it a listen!
At #ScalaDays, @ckipp01 and a group of panelists from around the Scala community tackled all the Scala hot topics and answered some burning questions about the state of Scala.

Follow along as @ckipp01 used Scala and Processing to dip our toes into generative art via flow fields and look at what a minimal, flexible workflow for this is by live-coding some examples using scala-cli at #ScalaDays.

Another successful #clojure + #axidraw
Did the code on a flight, got home, managed to plot it nicely!
Now that I've actually had a bit of sleep I've been reflecting on @scaladays and on my own @scala_lang journey. This was my first Scaladays, and I was blown away by the positive interactions I had with so many. It was an absolutely pleasure to be a part of the events all week.
ALT Closing panel at Scaladays with 6 people on stage and a full crowd watching on.
I'm really looking forward to @scaladays in Madrid next week. Apart from my talk that I'm excited to give I also get to moderate the closing panel about the State of Scala. I thought I'd crowdsource a bit. What are some questions you'd like to see asked?

Our colleague, Denys Skvortsov, used his vacation to bike across Europe (2145 km in 18 days) to raise money for an organisation aiding in the rehabilitation of children in Ukraine who have suffered from war. Incredible is an understatement!🇺🇦 🚵♂️
