I am pretty "deep" into the Elixir World these days so I thought it was a good time to step back and enumerate all the incredible stuff Elixir and Phoenix can do for us.

Are we missing resources for some topics in the Elixir community?
I'm considering making another course, but I'd love to hear what people think is missing (and why).
Replies 👇 and retweets would be lovely.

The pendulum swings again: in the past, web frameworks *were* one person. But once applications grew in complexity and JavaScript started playing a bigger role in them, it was no longer the case.
This growth in complexity was what drove me way from web-dev back then. [1/6]

🤩 loved the blog post on @elixirlang's strong arrows that @josevalim shared. It helped clarify what they are and why they're needed.
I made a short video of my understanding. Hope it helps others understand them too! 🥳

There’s no third-party APIs to call out to, no background jobs to kick off, and no JavaScript to write. The only external dependency is ffmpeg.

Today, I'm working my way through the 2nd edition of the fantastic Phoenix LiveView Pro course by @pragmaticstudio. My favorite part of the course so far is their excellent coverage of function components. Bravo!!!! #myelixirstatus #elixirstatus

The new @pragmaticstudio Elixir Phoenix LiveView course is amazing.
Really well produced, great pace, rigorous content - I highly recommend it.
Erlang BEAM + Elixir + Phoenix + LiveView also happens to be the tech I'm most excited about today.

This is unbelievably powerful, simple and beautiful. When I moved from Java to Ruby the exploratory power of “irb” blew me away. Livebook is like…god-class irb. Pair that with this kind of ML, Web and language technology? It’s like living in a science fiction story. Amazing!

One of the most exciting things in web dev right now is HTML over the wire (via both HTTP & web socket) coupled with multi-region geo aware infrastructure. The geo tooling isn't quite there yet, but it will mark a sea change in how web apps are built & deployed in the future.

The other day I said that the LiveView course from @pragmaticstudio is amazing. But I forgot to mention that there are 6 videos in the course dedicated exclusively to the phx.gen.auth lib that explains how to use it in detail with and without LiveView. #elixirlang #myelixirstatus
