NELFUND better than US, UK student loan systems – UNIBEN VC hails Tinubu
The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Benin, Professor Edoba Omoregie (SAN), has described the Nigerian Education Loan Fund as one of the most significant public policy initiatives in the country since independence, saying its model is better than those operated in countries such as the United States and the United Kingdom.
Omoregie, however, said he was not impressed by the level of interest shown so far in accessing the fund.
He said NELFUND was unique in its application process, provision of a moratorium before repayment begins and the percentage of income deducted when beneficiaries start repaying, adding that the scheme was almost like an education grant.

Without a doubt, the most competent candidate on the ballot for the next election in Lagos is Dr Obafemi Hamzat. He holds a PhD in Engineering from Cranfield University, one of the best research Universities in the UK 🇬🇧.
His experience in the public sector is also unmatched by other candidates.
I look forward to his manifesto tagged ‘The Lagos Promise’ / ‘Ileri Eko’ 💙.

If many of those who have governed in the South East were faced with the Bar beach surge that was threatening to wipe out Victoria Island, Eko Atlantic wouldn't have emerged out of that problem - they would have been playing the victim & blaming the FG for abandoning Ndi Eko.

My husband told me to leave his house because I had become a financial burden.
His mother nodded in agreement.
“You can't expect a man to feed you forever. Even his younger brother's wife is working and helping her husband.”
I looked at my husband and asked, “Have you forgotten what I did for you when you had nothing?”
He laughed.
“What exactly did you do for me? I built everything I have with my own hands.”
I swallowed my tears and went to bed without saying another word.
The truth was, when we got married, my husband had no job. I was working as a nurse, and my salary paid our rent, food, and bills for almost three years.
When he decided to start a transport business, I sold my car and gave him the money to buy his first vehicle.
I even took a loan from my cooperative to help him buy a second one.
Today, he owns several vehicles and has built a beautiful house.
Somehow, the woman who stood beside him when he had nothing had become a burden in his eyes.
The next morning, I packed my things and left.
Three days later, his business manager called me.
“Madam, please, are you aware that your husband has been presenting some of the company's vehicles as gifts to his younger brother?”
I was confused.
“What does that have to do with me?”
He paused.
“Because two of those vehicles were purchased with the loan you took from your cooperative. Your name is still on the original documents, and your husband has been asking me to transfer ownership without your signature.”
I sat down.
For years, I had kept quiet about my sacrifices because I believed marriage meant building together.
Now, the man who called me a burden was trying to give away assets partly funded by my sacrifice.
I contacted a lawyer and gathered every document I had.
When my husband discovered what I was doing, he came to my sister's house with his mother.
“Please, let's settle this as a family,” he begged.
I looked at him and asked one question:
“When you called me a burden in front of your family, did you remember that family?”
Nobody answered.
His mother began to cry. His younger brother looked away.
I am still deciding what the future holds for my marriage, but one thing is certain: I will never again allow anyone to erase my contributions and call me useless.

If there's one bank that has a swift business loan process, it's Sterling Bank.
If you're finding it difficult to get business capital from your current bank, take your account statement to Sterling Bank.
They will finance your business, and they also accept Moniepoint and OPay statements, which many banks don't accept.
You don't have to use your account for six months before you qualify for a loan. They're that flexible.
Sterling don't need your collateral to give you a loan, with your cash flow, stock hypothetication and personal Guarantee you can get as a loan as high as 30M.
If Sterling gives you 10M and you're returning for another loan, they will give 20M, that's a 100% increase.
Stop ruining your business growth with expensive and complex credit lending.

Personally, I will never advise anyone to relocate to the UK. Never oh 😩 Because how exactly do you plan to remain here after your studies? With all the changes to immigration rules, you need to have a solid plan beyond getting admission and coming here.
Starting in 2028, no more COS.. But there are other visa routes like innovation and global talent, which are not easy to get so what exactly are you coming for if you can't even figure out your next step after studying?
Pls just explore other countries instead; Germany, Austria, Switzerland etc are also nice countries if you can sacrifice to learn their language.
Choose somewhere you can build a future without constantly living in fear and uncertainty. Your peace of mind matters in Jesus name. Don't go from frying pan to fire. People are japada back to nigeria on a steady due to visa issues.. It's mentally draining and stressful..
God will help us all❤️
