ENUGU STATE: LISTENING TO THE PEOPLE AND BUILDING A UNITED NIGERIA
Following yesterdayβs (29th October) town hall meeting in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, I proceeded to Enugu State, where we held another town hall meeting as part of our ongoing nationwide engagement.
I was joined by my brother and Vice Presidential Candidate of our party, the NDC, His Excellency, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
In Enugu, we met with our teeming supporters and enthusiastic citizens who lined the streets and besieged the venue in their numbers.
In our conversations, including the contributions from our Vice Presidential Candidate and me, we reiterated our commitment to uniting and securing the country, tackling corruption, massively investing in critical areas of development, particularly health and education, and pulling our people out of poverty.
Shortly before the town hall event, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and I met with the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Enugu Chapter, where we reaffirmed our commitment to national unity, religious harmony and peaceful coexistence.
Leadership must be about listening to the people. Those seeking to lead must understand what Nigerians need and be willing to receive feedback on the impact of government policies and decisions.
I thank our teeming supporters, party members and organisers for their dedication and commitment. I also thank the good people of Enugu State for their warm reception.
A New Nigeria is POssible, and Nigeria will be OK! -PO

All media houses have to be all over INEC like a rash. INEC needs to explain to Nigerians these AI picture allegations. M
All opposition parties too need to be on this.

The interviewer is not smart. The man deviated from the question and started saying nonsense and she couldn't call his attention back to the question.
World Poverty Day: Why Nigeria Should Have Declared Today a Public Holiday
Today is the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty. Sadly, Nigeria has become a symbol of the global poverty crisis. The rising poverty rate, from 40.1 per cent in 2019 to 56.2 per cent in 2023 and an estimated 63 per cent in 2026, shows how a country can move progressively backwards while those in authority appear unconcerned.
Millions of Nigerians are now struggling to live, to afford food, and access healthcare. Yet, government narratives often paint a different picture. What meaning does economic growth have when citizens are getting poorer, hungrier, and more insecure? Progress must be measured by improvements in peopleβs lives.
As poverty deepens, the government should genuinely show concern. Perhaps today should have been declared a public holiday, not for celebration, but for national reflection on how a country so richly endowed with human and natural resources has allowed poverty to overcome it.
Poverty is not Nigeriaβs destiny. With competent leadership, prudent management of public resources, investment in education and healthcare, and support for agriculture and small businesses, we can reverse this trend.
A new Nigeria where no citizen goes to bed hungry and where every citizen lives in dignity is POssible and OK. -PO

Living with your parents at 27 isn't the problem. Being too comfortable to do anything with your life is. If you don't pay rent or worry about food, use that privilege to work and save up money to build your future, not to waste your life in comfort.

You donβt really care about Nigerians that much. You just want your own share of the national cake.
Youβve been Vice President before, and your record was terrible.
Nigeria needs a president who truly cares about the people, not someone hungry for power.

The US has a documented history of drug-related investigations involving Tinubu, who forfeited $460,000 to the US government in 1993. Yet, you're striking deals with his government to attract investment into Nigeria's $700 billion mineral resources.
What exactly are your priorities?
