Malaysians haven been dealing with this haze for more than two months now. This week has seen very unhealthy & hazardous levels of air quality. Cases of UTRI have surged by 167% & asthma cases increased by 127%. What are you talking about?
Malaysia has no immediate plans to issue a diplomatic note or take legal action against Indonesia over the transboundary haze, said Foreign Minister Mohamad Hasan.
"Hubungan rapat kedua-dua negara ini perlu juga dijaga. Nota diplomatik adalah langkah terakhir. Kita belum sampai ke tahap itu," he added.

This is why the ASEAN Agreement on Transboundary Haze Pollution is a failure.
They would rather maintain the status quo between politicians & corporations than systemically address decades of forest fires, peatland degradation & haze. National, corporate interests come first.
#NSTnation Malaysia has no plans to send a diplomatic note or take legal action against Indonesia over the transboundary haze currently affecting the country, said Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan.
He said such action was unnecessary as it could affect the good relations between the two countries.

Before & during the haze.
Very unhealthy & sometimes, even hazardous levels of air quality has been the norm in KL this week. Yet, the Indonesian government is refusing to take stronger accountability so they can maintain the status quo. This is now an international disaster.

The forest fires in Indonesia have burned the habitats containing 50% of Borneo’s orangutans. There are more than 170,000 cases of respiratory infections. Hundreds of schools have shut down. Your neighbouring countries are suffering too.

Indonesia has decided against declaring its prolonged forest and land fires a national disaster, saying it remains capable of managing the crisis.
Its coordinating security ministry acknowledged concerns over transboundary haze affecting neighbouring countries, including Malaysia, but said Indonesia was making every effort to contain the fires.
