The most important way to support #LivingStreets is by filling in a 'YES' consultation form & encouraging others to do likewise. YES to a more people-friendly town, safer for walking/cycling but open to those who need to drive. YES to seeing #DunLaoghaire reach its potential.
Here is the link for #LivingStreets consultation form. It includes modal filters, pedestrianisation and traffic calming.
It will make our community safer for pedestrians and cyclists, and create a vibrant community. Please fill one out 🙏

Ryan Casey's victim impact statement asserts Ireland has lost its innocence, if a young woman can be cruelly murdered in broad daylight in 2022.
Ireland lost its innocence a long time ago, if that's a basis underpinning the assertion.
It would be a mistake to forget that. /1

When I heard that Dun Laoghaire's big idea for a better town was the brain child of #cargobike parents, I had to go talk to them👩👧👧

Ok - this is not only going to be a game-changer for safer walking and cycling...but its arguably so much more beautiful too.
Living Streets Dún Laoghaire is not an active travel project but a town rejuvenation project with active travel elements, a senior council official said to councillors yesterday. irishcycle.com/2023/10/23/ho…

"Nothing sets my teeth on edge like seeing an SUV roll slowly up to the door of our creche, the mass of black, shiny metal a total paradox with the soft, small bodies it has come to retrieve. The height and size of SUVs makes them lethal for children"

This is such a good idea! When we lived in Berkeley we were able to bus up to local hiking spots using a pretty regular service.
The #MountainBus would make Dublin hiking an accessible and sustainable activity for many more people. Less car parks, more bus stops!
