Before people make the connection. Parkinsons is idiopathic meaning it is not known what causes it. Faulk is from the 9th ward and played NFL football. Who knows what influenced it

I wonder if the NCAA would allow universities to trade coaches’ buyouts for NIL cap space.

The irony of the Ulta/JCPenney salon discourse is watching people flee the unprofessionalism they’ve spent years defending only to seek refuge in institutions that enforce the very norms that were protecting them. Turns out professionalism does have value. LOL.

People…notable people gravitate towards influence. Thats why you see celebrities with politicians. Athletes and rappers. Just like us they want access

I was fired from a radio show for refusing to read gambling ads. Grew up around it and saw how excess booze, women, and the thrill of it ruined lives but made nights. I dont drink bc of it either.
Bob Costas was 18 when his father dropped dead at JFK airport. At the wake, a man handed him a thick envelope with $6,000 in $100 bills. It was everything his father left behind, and a bookie would never have paid it to a dead man. In the video below, he tells the story himself. His father, John, was a big-time gambler. Not casinos, not racetracks. Ball games. Bob says the mortgage was literally riding on his bets. When the games went the wrong way, he threw things, cursed and yelled. Bob’s mom and sister would leave. Bob stayed, because watching the games with his dad was the only way to be close to him. Friday, May 15, 1970. A cop knocks on the door. Before he says a word, Bob’s mother asks, “My husband’s dead, isn’t he?” John Costas had a heart attack walking through JFK. He was 42. At the wake, one of his gambling buddies walked in with the envelope. “Your father was up when he died. Give this to your mother.” A bookie never pays a dead man, so the friend went to the bookie himself and said John sent him to collect. Decades later, Bob Costas refused to read sports betting ads on air. Today the bookie lives in everyone’s phone. Is that progress?

😭😭😭😭A young man's first heartbreak. I've experienced it as a mother and as a young lady I remember being the cause of one. (It wasnt because I cheated tho). They are all recoverable of course but it helps if someone is around and can help navigate that influx of despair. Shout out to this Memphis man! Don't go calling his phone either. #Heartbreak.

Even the football side. Tanner McKee is so unworthy of trust that a restless Hurts is a better option? I never understood that about football. If the backup can't start a game cut him.
This story is about much more than football. If Hurts wanted badly to play, so be it, no surprise there, players always want to play. It's their default setting. It would been up to the medical professionals/team to not allow him to play in the abundance of caution.

What's missing from this discussion is that any Shanahan disciple needs a season to adjust to the scheme. The only exception was Aaron Rodgers. Matt Ryan needed a year before winning his mvp. Offense asked less of him. Herbert will be fine.
Jordan Poyer gets it

By the way, Victor Wembyama had the same issue a couple of seasons ago. And he sat down.

Now we find out Jalen Hurts stayed awake 36 hours in London before taking the field? With a blood clot? Waiting for @PabloTorre to find out what really happened with the Eagles and Jalen Hurts in London and since..

Protecting their asset isn't akin to dereliction of duty
this entire Jalen situation is much bigger than just a QB dealing with an injury, it’s about the utter neglect and mistreatment of black people when it comes to medical care.

The only thing the portal messed up for the players is setting their level of expectations. Sure guys lamented not being at the school they desire to be at but it was a filter for wants the next level. Now guys are just angling for the spots they aren't ready to fill

I think every man needs to experience a situation where you’ve done “everything” for a lady & it just didn’t work so you can realize how powerless you actually are.

I remember having a “players only” meeting ahead of a game versus Fresno State. Fresno State RB went of for 295 against us. Fresno only had 478 total yards against us

Yes, the disconnect is people making 90K with 3+ kids believing they are middle class.
There is clearly a huge disconnect here: Middle class people who make 200k a year, telling middles class families who make 90k a year “if you’re so poor then apply for EBT” People without children who don’t realize how expensive kids activities add up. Especially if you have anything beyond 2 children. “If you can’t afford zoo tickets just don’t go to the zoo.” Okay. So the EBT people should also not get to go to the zoo! Cuz the only reason they can afford a ticket is cuz of the discounted rate. You guys don’t really care about all kids, you just care about acting like you care about poor kids. You do not care about middle class white kids.
