Subagents have arrived in Gemini CLI! 🤖🚀
Create your own custom subagents in @geminicli! Subagents are specialized, expert agents that the main agent can delegate work to.
📦- Subagents have their own set of tools, MCP servers, system instructions, and context window.
🏷️- Use @agent to explicitly delegate to a subagent
🧹- Keeps the main context window clean
⚡️- Speed up work by running agents in parallel

Compact Header/Logo in Gemini CLI 🎨
Do folks prefer this alternate compact header vs. the previous larger "GEMINI" ASCII art?
I could see a world where we keep both. Show the GEMINI header on first startup in a new project then the compact header on all subsequent launches...

A while back, I got an idea: What if I became a livestreamer and used all the funds raised to support @AFCWimbledon's playing budget? I would get to live my dream of working with Stan and livestreaming to an audience! Plus Wimbledon would benefit. In the first month, we raised...

The Dons play MK's Franchise tomorrow. We've already won--better attendance, fan ownership, and an EARNED place in the Football League. I hope we crush them in their hideous, empty, soulless stadium. But we've already beat them. Those franchise bastards know exactly who they are.

False
GitHub Copilot costs users $10 per month, but it costs Microsoft an average of $20 per user per month. Some users are costing the company as much as $80 per month.
AI-powered Copilot coding tools are a race for who runs out of money first. Trick all developers into dependence on the product for audience capture, then:
- slowly increase the subscription cost, or
- decrease performance, or
- expect hardware improvements to offset loss in the future.

Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Nat Friedman, GitHub CEO when Copilot was launched, said this is false and that the cost was lower than the price they charge users.

This is a weird feeling as I’ve dedicated my career to sharing others’ achievements but I’m gonna to take a moment to celebrate myself. I’ve been promoted to Vice President of Developer Community at Microsoft!

The Twitter rebrand is what happens when the man at the top is powerful enough to get his own way and is empowered by design or accident to ignore experienced creatives who understand what a brief looks like and who work best when left alone to hit it. It is accordingly shite.
