A Bitquery analysis of 8.2M Pump.fun launches suggests the answer is more complicated than speed alone.
In 21% of launches, developer-linked wallets reportedly bought in the launch block and held a median 10% of the supply.
The reported profits tell another story: developers and bundled wallets made at least $579M after fees, versus $31.5M for sniper bots.
That gap points to something bigger than execution speed: early access, supply concentration and exit timing.
This is where @zerufinance’s Activity Fi approach gets interesting. Zaps can use verified onchain behavior to help inform participation in future launches.
If trading history becomes part of how access is allocated, the advantage could shift from simply being fastest to proving meaningful activity.
The real question is whether verified behavior can make launch access more transparent and fair.
