What people don’t seem to understand is that sensible people across the centre, centre-left and centre-right broadly agree that we need to effectively eliminate undocumented migration by people entering under false pretences as asylum seekers. Very few people seriously disagree with that. What sensible people object to is the hard right obsessively focusing on this one group, then weaponising every crime committed by an individual within it to stir up fear and hatred towards minorities across Britain for political gain. And this is where their sanctimony becomes particularly galling. The hard right has a serious violence problem of its own, notably violence against women. These people don’t get to lecture the rest of Britain about keeping women safe while conveniently ignoring the wife-beaters, domestic abusers and violent thugs within their own ranks. If we jailed every hard-right scumbag who beats his wife or abuses women, violence against women in Britain would probably fall 50% overnight. Yet strangely, they never seem interested in talking about those men. Because this was never really about protecting women. It was about exploiting women’s safety as a vehicle for hatred, division and corrupt politics.

Not that I'm particularly upset by the content of this tweet, I find it very illustrating that X has decided that this does not break the rules: "Targeted Abuse: You cannot use insults, slurs, or profanity to attack other individuals or groups." This is condoned by them.

oh look a lesson from a man who never put a uniform on..just worked at bank. A man who is literally making policy and facts up. A man who cant even get his own party to pick him as an MP ( tell us why please?). When Reform stop taking £5m bungs and start being honest with people then people might take you seriously. No one is saying dont send prisoners back when you can but dont lie to the public you can do it with a magic wand. You guys are getting desperate. After all you recruited Suella!

Can someone explain to Rupert what the Christmas and Easter holidays celebrate.
Muslims are allowed to take their children out of school to celebrate Islamic events without getting fined. It should be the same rules for everybody. Under a Restore Britain Government, ALL parents will have five days to take children out of school with no fines. Fairness.

Hey @BurgerKing, my daughter has emailed a couple of fast food chains asking about why while adult vegan options are plentiful you don't have any kids' offers- BK seems impossible to contact in the UK and your partnerships@ email address bounced. Do you have a feedback contact?

Anyone on benefits in this country. Pause for a second. There is a reason those benefits exist. Because life broke somewhere. Illness. Disability. Caring. Redundancy. Wages that do not cover rent anymore. That is reality not failure. Now listen to what Reform are actually saying. Not dog whistles. Not rumours. Out loud. They want to charge you for things you do not currently pay for. They want austerity back. They want to tighten. Cut. Squeeze. Again. Even lower wages. Did you miss that bit? Many people on benefits already use food banks. Many already sit in the dark watching the meter tick down. Many already skip meals. That is now. Before Reform touch anything. So picture it. Same life. Same bills. Same stress. Then extra charges on top. Less support. More punishment dressed up as discipline. How are you meant to survive that. Honestly. This is not theoretical. They are not hiding it. They are proud of it. Things are bad right now. Reform are openly promising to make them worse for you. So the question is simple. Are you okay with that. Are you genuinely okay voting for people who are telling you they will take more from you when you already have nothing left. I struggle to understand it. Then I stop pretending. Because if you are choosing this anyway it means something else comes first. Anger. Blame. Racism. Someone to point at while your own plate gets emptier. If that is the choice then own it. Say it. Do not pretend this is about helping ordinary people. They are screaming what they want to do to you. Loud. Proud. No shame. And still some of you cheer. That is not being ignored. That is choosing your own harm. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧💷☕️🫖🍰

Hey @CostaCoffee, can you please find a better way of showing customers which drinks can be made vegan without making customers interrogate staff every single time in case you suddenly add milk to the syrup recipe? Just a little symbol on the menu, like most places do "DFO"?

Hey @NEUnion, apparently you've split away from ATL and can force the incoming Government to drop one of their biggest manifesto pledges. Who knew you had such power?
Just look at these WhatsApps from a private school parents group… If only the wealthy would mobilise this well to help others Not just themselves.

According to today's Times, the party that made Truss PM, Rees-Mogg Business Secretary, Gullis a minister, Dorries Culture Secretary & 30p Lee deputy chairman is 'drawing up plans to dismiss underperforming civil servants & end what they call "a merry-go-round of mediocrity"'...

Rishi Sunak is clear that we shouldn't "mess with our national flags" because "they're perfect as they are" He might need to delete a few tweets, including this one where the Union flag includes tyre tracks and a battery instead of the red saltire of St Patrick:

How strange to see this newfound conviction among Conservatives that people who get something wrong in the House of Commons should immediately lose their jobs.

Should be forced to rebuild exactly as it was.
The Crooked House, a historic Grade II listed 18th century Black Country pub, was sold to developers a few days ago. Last night it burnt down. The lane to the pub apparently blocked. I hope @StaffsPolice @StaffsFire @StaffsPFCC investigate and prosecute. expressandstar.com/news/loca…

Get. Off. My. Lawn. We don't have an app. Our API is called POSIX. There's no web interface. rsync.net is an empty UNIX filesystem you access with SSH tools. Not sure what this means ? Our cloud storage is NOT for you. (discounts for .edu / nonprofit)

A thought... UK banks deliberately, systemically, missold, by script, over £40bn of PPI, ripping money out of the hands of the public including many vulnerable people - no bank CEO resigned.
