Finally have help with @printmyblog ! Hired an old friend l, Ryan, and have mostly let him run wild with it! One of the first things he did was create proper social media accounts for it.

Question though: what happens to WordPress if Matt gets hit by a bus?

When you give a code review (eg leave a review on GitHub), how many comments are expected to get overlooked? (Eg you asked to rename a variable but the coder didn’t do it). If you left 10 comments, how many is a “normal” amount for the coder to overlook? 1-2? 3-4? Usually none?

Replying to @SetraHost
@SetraHost hey it looks like my site hosted e weigh you, cmljnelson.blog , is down? But another one of mine, printmy.blog is fine. Is this a known issue? (Here’s a screenshot of what I’m getting, FYI I’m using cloud flare too)

It was the IP change. I found the new IP address and put it into cloudflare, so I’m good again

Phew, thanks everyone! I think I’m going to make a form for applicants to fill out to help me pick someone. It’s just tricky putting time towards finding someone when I’m in the middle of having too much work. Ya know?

Got my first downright negative reviews this week: wordpress.org/support/topic/… It’s good practice for me to not take offense so easily. I’d estimate these type of people are around 1/1000

I felt like world needed a song about space invaders with the recurring line “pew, pew, pew!” Then AI and I made suno.com/song/424c80e3-2cd9-… You’re welcome world!

Asking for help: I have a hobby podcast, no business interest at all. Was using Spotify for Podcasts but it’s going away and am looking for a replacement. Want: -free -works on mobile -record with friends -edit on mobile -publish from mobile Suggestions?

Hey @lesley_pizza what’s the best way to report a bug in @NewsletterGlue ?(as a fellow plugin dev, not a customer)

I have a problem with code created by AI. It’s equivalent to a contractor who just wants to whip together code in 5 minutes and ignores the established norms of the rest of the codebase. It always looks good at first but needs so much modification I’m not sure if it’s worth it

Sorry I’m not in love with AI for writing code. It smells. It has a way of writing a lot of code that accomplished something that often doesn’t need to be done. Good for a first step, but AI-generated code always needs tweaking
