a Lenovo PGX (DGX spark clone) was dropped into my lap this week and i've just started working with it, hoping to learn as much as i can about how LLMs are run and trained
i now have qwen running locally & it's starting to come together but this is how i've felt the entire time
TIL (the hard way) that Defender's "Restrict App Execution" prevents targeted endpoints from successfully PXE booting.
Removing the restriction sorts things out in a jiffy.
Makes sense if you think about it, but I had to do quite a bit of thinking before I got there.
"The problem occurs only on [2016] servers where the hostname is exactly 15 characters long. This bug can break administrative tools, scripts, applications and services relying on Active Directory..."
KB5087537, released May 12th, appears to be the culprit.
