I’ve covered student debt obsessively for the past 6 years for a documentary (coming soon!). One of the most misunderstood parts of this debate is: folks with graduate degrees. Many seem to think this group is all rich (or soon to be). This is weird & incorrect. Quick thread…
Quick reminder to everyone who didn’t need loans for college: someone else already paid off your debt.

Cancel outstanding interest rates. Ban predatory lending practices. Make community college and trade schools free for 2 years. We cannot simply erase student debt without erasing the systemic short falls that created this crisis to begin with.
