Russia is now deploying its own satellite network โ€œRassvetโ€ (32 satellites launched so far, targeting 900 by 2035) so its forces can control drones and hit targets more effectively over Ukraine, after Starlink access was cut. Meanwhile Western capitals keep talking โ€œRussia is broke,โ€ even as the regime continues building military space capabilities and raining missiles on civilians. The two-faced tolerance of a terrorist state and its leaders is appalling. Ukraine needs real, sustained military pressure and support, not performative concern while the aggressor upgrades its tools. @coe @EU_Commission @POTUS @vonderleyen @kajakallas @NATO

โ€ผ๏ธ WordPress sites can be attacked even while installing a fix for an actively exploited flaw, a researcher warns. The update still uses vulnerable code, leaving a brief window for attackers to execute PHP code on the server. Here's what site owners need to do before updating โ†’ thehackernews.com/2026/11/inโ€ฆ

Keep human judgement central in AI procurement. Agreed. But the harder question will be: explainable to whom? Officers, losing bidders, and the review body need different answers from the same AI output. Our take in Hankearu is that AI recommends, rules constrain, and humans decide. #EUPPM2026

The media's "AI layoff apocalypse" confuses lagging 2023-2024 macro corrections with technological collapse, collective layoffs represent just 0.3-0.4% of the workforce, a tiny fraction of normal job turnover while overall employment recovers. However, recent white-collar tech cuts and a 25% drop in under-25 IT employment over three years show AI is undeniably taking over routine customer service, back-office, and software development tasks. We aren't facing mass unemployment, but a permanent efficiency shift where the real adaptation pressure falls directly on junior tech talent.

There can be no return of Russian and Belarusian athletes to the international arena while the war in Ukraine continues. The October European Council agreement is clear: no normalisation of their participation in sports and culture until there is a just and lasting peace. No Schengen visas for Russian athletes and tourists, and no EU funding for organisations that help bring them back. You cannot condemn an aggressive war one day and applaud the Russian flag the next. #StandWithUkraine #NoNormalisation @coe @EUCouncil

Agentic government is a delegation problem, not an AI problem. Identity proves who is acting. A mandate proves what they may do. The agent proposes; the service permits, asks the citizen to confirm, or denies, and returns a receipt. My take, written up: agenticgov.eu

The Baltics asked the EU for โ‚ฌ500M to counter drones breaching their airspace. Brussels said: borrow it, repay over 45 years. Meanwhile โ‚ฌ21 billion sits unused in the EU's own defense fund. Front-line states are being told to finance their own defense of Europe's border. @coe @EU_Commission @Europarl_EN

โ€ผ๏ธ Australian researchers found 10 previously unknown flaws in IVXV, the system Estonia uses for internet voting. In one, a compromised server could let a vote pass the voter's own phone check, then get it dropped from the count. Most Estonians who voted in 2023 did so online.

EU must prohibit dots as well as OpenAI more. We are moving towards that, but it could be faster. OpenAI has too many flaws, and its nonexistent customer support is one of the biggest threats. People should use Gemini, Claude, and Grok more. And believe me, Grok Bot is better.

Also true. ๐Ÿ‘† Politics are nasty and complicated. But whatever the politicians do or which corrupt pacts they agree with we must remain vigilant, protect those who need it, and help to fight against aggression, invaders, and terrorists.
