Many congrats (formally this time) to @RosenbergEliz and @BrianENelson77 !!
I’m honored to be asked by President-elect Biden to return to @CIA, and I’m thrilled at the chance to serve with Bill Burns as his Deputy Director. It’s great to be back with the women and men of the Agency, and I can’t wait to get to work.
Congratulations to my friend Bill Burns on his nomination to be Director of the CIA. Bill has the perfect mix of experience, expertise, and wisdom to lead the great women and men of CIA. He will be a terrific Director. buildbackbetter.gov/press-re…
So excited to see that President-elect Biden has selected @wallyadeyemo to be our next Deputy Secretary of the Treasury. He’s an absolutely terrific choice, not to mention a terrific guy!
I worked closely with @wallyadeyemo at Treasury and when he was deputy National Security Advisor. He will come to the DepSec role with a deep knowledge of nat sec issues – especially the critical intersection of national and economic security
As Treasury’s key role in national security continues to grow -- sanctions, CFIUS, financial integrity, etc. -- it is so great that @wallyadeyemo will be there to help @JanetYellen and the entire foreign policy/national security team.
Proud to be part of this broad, bipartisan group of former military and civilian national security leaders.

I’ve known Senator @KamalaHarris for a long time. She is more than prepared for the job. She’s spent her career defending our Constitution and fighting for folks who need a fair shake. This is a good day for our country. Now let’s go win this thing.

Trump’s relentless—and increasingly successful—effort to politicize intelligence makes all Americans less safe. With @MichaelJMorell and Avril Haines foreignpolicy.com/2020/04/28…
This from the incomparable Bill Burns. So true. foreignaffairs.com/articles/…
A beautiful tribute to a truly wonderful man. He will be sorely missed. John ‘Sully’ Sullivan was ‘everything we wanted America to be’ washingtonpost.com/opinions/…
The US intel community will continue to do its job and provide the “first customer” with its best intel, even if he recklessly reveals sources & methods. But our foreign liaison partners are not required to share with us — and that loss is enormously damaging and long-lasting.
No one, anywhere, should be threatened for expressing policy views. While my friend @mdubowitz knows that I don’t always agree with the policies he or @FDD advocates, I join in condemning these threats of violence from Iran.
We ask those who disagree with @FDD but who support our right to do our work to join us in condemning these threats from the regime.
“Justice Department prosecutors... ask[ing] questions about how an analyst came to a specific conclusion... could lead analysts to withhold their judgments or even decide that this profession is not for them. We lose as a nation with either outcome.” @MichaelJMorell is right.
