Everyone says I need to touch grass - but I think Grok 4.7 does it best? I compared Grok 4.7 against Opus 5.5 on a grass-touching simulator in @kilocode. Grok's price: $3.52 Opus 5.5's Price: $7.35

Me to the model when I'm out of reset's, weekly quota is down to 10%, compaction on the horizon, and my PR just got hit with a db migration merge conflict.

AI apocalypse before GTA VI?! My first Substack post unpacks the AI-doom debate and what’s really behind the scary headlines. Hint: probably more corporate politics than Terminator. bturcotte.substack.com/p/ai-…

So grateful to have been a part of this team from early on. The team that built Kilo was truly special; unlike any team I’ve worked with before. Excited to see what’s next!

Wild to see @elonmusk reposting an article I wrote! I said this yesterday, but frontier doesn't just mean Anthropic & OpenAI anymore.

Frontier doesn't only mean Anthropic and OpenAI anymore. I built this black hole simulator by simply dropping an illustration screenshot into Kilo Code, switching to @MiniMax_AI M3, and prompting it to "animate this screenshot into a working black hole simulator". M3's vision capabilities are incredible. Total cost: $0.53 Speaking of stars - Kilo Code is about to hit 25k, and we're giving $500 of AI Credits to 2 people once that happens! Check out our repo here: github.com/Kilo-Org/kilocode…

Why aren't more people talking about @StepFun_ai? Their latest model Step 3.7 Flash just made me 3 beautiful websites in less than 10 minutes: 1. Interactive Resume/CV 2. Landing Page for a Car Wash business 3. Custom Wedding Site Total Price: $0 Total # of Prompts: 3 Step 3.7 Flash is completely free in Kilo right now, and it's truly great at front-end/UI design. Also - we're giving away $500 to 2 people when Kilo Code reaches 25k Stars on GitHub. Check it out and support here: github.com/Kilo-Org/devrel

The folks who called flat fees "fine" are the ones opening 10x invoices now 🤷
$15 on Opus. $1.70 on the same task with a cheaper model. Most of what an agent does all day doesn't need a frontier model. You're just paying like it does. 4 levers that cut your AI bill:

Open source being the plot twist when it's just been sitting in our repo this whole time lol
Next: Cursor goes open source? 😏

Can confirm. Le Chaton Fat is shaking in its boots. 😹
Better than Fable 5, better than Le Chaton Fat, and better than whatever you're switching to tomorrow. Multiple models beats one single model. Every. Time.

If you read every diff anyway (and be honest, you do), the $200/mo plan is mostly a subscription to autonomy you never use.

🚨 Anthropic Fable 5 just replicated GITHUB from a SCREENSHOT!! All I did was paste a screenshot of the GitHub UI into Kilo Code, and told it to recreate GitHub with real functionality. It coded for 10 minutes and spent $4.07. The result was a functional GitHub replica:

It took 10 minutes and $4.07. When I was done, I opened the project locally and was honestly shocked. It was a working GitHub replica, with functional Git storage and everything.
