Genuinely one of the most heartbreaking interviews I’ve seen of a sportsman at rock bottom. The interviewer gives a perfect example of how to be there for someone struggling. The compassion shown. The hug. The kindness. Hope Mark gets the help he needs.

He’s right, the world isn’t stopping them. The UK is busy condemning the Green Party and the US is busy condemning a Twitch streamer.
Meanwhile, Israel does ethnic cleansing and war crimes out in the open; *brags* about it in fact:

Why is anyone surprised about Ed Sheeran? Gen Z music is all about either cosplaying music that's decades old or supermarket music with lyrics.
The fact a generation thinks it's some sort of genius rather than the unimaginative, toe the line corporate dirge that it is, tells you everything you need to know.
In the 70's and 80's there was Rock against racism, bands refused to play in anti apartheid South Africa Sun City, etc etc. Real bands made up of men and women who's music inherently had a message beyond " I love you, you're great, innit". The reason why Sheeran can have his huge success today is because the contract between artist and promoter/label is "be as bland as you can be, cause no trouble, you'll be rich ". Same in almost every media industry now.
So why would a bland, smiley moron with bland supermarket music for the musically semi literate have an opinion on anything? Seriously?
The music industry couldn't make money with bands who refused to toe the line 40 years ago, they were too unpredictable, too many songs banned on radio, too close to the truth, so they gave out deals based on compliance, mass market averageness and understanding of the rules, "say nothing, just play your fucking guitar".
That so many are looking at an industry talking head for some sort of political guidance is about as tragic as it fucking gets.
Vote! Join a party! March! Protest!
Ed Sheeran nor any other musician that's raking it in isn't coming to give you a voice.

Macklemore has just been kicked off Ed Sheeran's tour for saying these words:
“Free Palestine. I want those words to be loud and clear so the people from Gaza all the way to the occupied West Bank know we have not forgotten them...
To all of my Jewish brothers and sisters: criticism of Israel, criticism of apartheid, being against genocide is in no way a criticism of you....
My message is for peace. Love for all human beings to be treated with dignity, respect, and equality. None of us will be free until we are all free.”
This is what they are afraid of and need to censor from you:

80 YEARS LATER — AND THE PLAYBOOK STILL WORKS.
During the Nuremberg Trials, Hermann Göring explained to psychologist Gustave Gilbert how leaders persuade ordinary people to support wars they never wanted:
“Of course the people don’t want war… But in the end, it’s the leaders of a country who determine policy.”
Gilbert reminded him that democracies were different because people had a voice.
Göring’s response was chilling:
“All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and for exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.”
— Nuremberg Diary, April 18, 1946
Sound familiar?
“We are being attacked.”
“We had no choice.”
“We are defending ourselves.”
“The enemy is at the gates.”
“Anyone who opposes the war is a traitor.”
Different century. Different television screens. Different flags.
Same mechanism.
Convince people they are the victims. Manufacture an existential threat. Turn fear into patriotism. Turn dissent into treason. Then send ordinary people to kill and die for decisions made by men sitting safely behind enormous desks.
Göring wasn't offering a warning.
He was explaining the recipe.
And 80 years later, humanity is still falling for it.

I sat with a friend who was telling me how Israel executed his entire family, including his wife and children.
He told me, "We were trapped in a house in northern Gaza. The army was announcing over loudspeakers that everyone inside should come out with their hands on their heads, and that the army wouldn't kill them."
He said, "I didn't know what to do except leave. My family and I left the house one by one, with our hands on our heads. A soldier called us to stand against a wall. Suddenly, I heard gunfire, and I didn't wake up until I was in the hospital. I learned that they had executed my entire family. I was injured and bled for a long time, and I survived after ambulances arrived. One of the doctors told me that Israel had killed my entire family, including my mother, father, wife, and two children." He told me the story with eyes full of sorrow, pain, and tears.
This is one of the testimonies of Israel's terrorism against families in Gaza.
Israel is guilty of "ethnic cleansing" in Jerusalem by forcing Palestinian families to leave homes they’ve lived in for generations, according to one of the country’s best-known lawyers.
