Andy Burnham has suddenly discovered that war with Iran and cosying up to Israel are unpopular only AFTER Trump gets hammered electorally.
Only yesterday, his party refused to work with the Greens over their position on Israel and Zionism.
Funny how principles arrive when the votes tell you you're next, mate.

Java is a language that arrives late to things. Let me prove it: lambdas, records, virtual threads, generics. Many other languages had them long before.
Now you might be thinking:
- Elder, are you trashing Java?
- Quite the opposite. To me this is one of Java's big advantages.
Before I tell you why, think of a company that's an expert at arriving late: Apple. It wasn't the first to launch a tablet, or a smartphone like the iPhone, or an iPod. It always got there later. And what's the advantage of arriving later? You get to avoid the mistakes others made.
A great friend of mine says Java has always been a production language.
- Yeah, but every language is a production language.
- True, every language is made to put things in production. But not every ecosystem has the culture of looking at production before shipping something. In Java that was always priority number zero.
The practical consequence? Lambdas, records, virtual threads, generics, and plenty of others went in without bugs in production. You won't find stories of "wow, records blew up in prod because they got the implementation wrong."
I've been at this for 27 years and I don't think Java will ever race to ship something before other ecosystems. And to me that's a career lesson too. Do I really need to rush to be the first to do something? I don't know. Looking at a language with over 30 years in the market, still evolving like no other, I think they know what they're doing.

So weit, so typisch.

Please note just in case. I am not suicidal, I have the most wonderful family and friends and many battles to fight.

Arnab Goswami has spent years teaching India what a fearless man he supposedly is.
A man who screams at people, humiliates guests & mistakes being an asshole for journalism.
There is a huge difference between being obnoxious in front of your cameras and having the courage to face someone outside your studio.
One requires dubious funding, many microphones, cameras & curated actors who’d submit to this psychopaths ideas.
The other requires courage.
Reuploading this to remind him how
he will get humbled when this government & his perks run out.
Arnab you are & will always remain to be a Coward.

Every decision taken by Gyanesh Kumar has now been reversed. But reversing those decisions raises an even bigger question: If his actions were serious enough to warrant reversal, shouldn't there be consequences for the man responsible?
And more importantly, what if @RitikaChopra__ had never exposed this? What if there had been no public outrage? Would these decisions have ever been reversed?
How many such decisions go unquestioned simply because nobody exposes them?

With the recent wave of vulnerability disclosures, it’s a good time to take a closer look at your own code.
Turn your coding agent into a team of security auditors with the open-source skill that seeded Cloudflare’s vulnerability discovery harness.
The 6 phase approach:
1. Map the codebase
2. Hunt for vulnerabilities
3. Challenge each candidate
4. Record the findings
5. Verify the findings
6. Report what’s confirmed, rejected, or still needs validation
Start your hunt here:

This is how serious the situation is:
Iranian state media is broadcasting advice to its citizens on how to survive a US-Israeli NUCLEAR ATTACK
☢️ Do not look at the intense explosion light, take shelter behind a barrier, lie on the ground, and cover your head and face.
☢️ After the blast wave passes, enter the nearest building; do not stay to watch or take photos, do not take shelter inside a car.
☢️ Turn off ventilation, get yourself to a central part of the building where there are no windows and exterior walls.
☢️ Wash with lukewarm water and soap, and use regular shampoo without conditioner. If showering is not possible, clean your face, hands, and exposed skin with water or wet wipes.
☢️ Use bottled water and packaged food, and prepare to stay in the shelter for at least 24 hours; if fires break out in the building or there is a risk of its collapse, move to a safer shelter.
☢️Do not assume the environment is safe after the first 24 hours; follow official announcements and emergency broadcasts for the safe evacuation route.
Donald Trump on potentially resuming the war against Iran:
‘We might have to go after pickaxe mountain, but that’s not a big deal.’
Iranian state media is now reportedly broadcasting guidance on how to survive a potential US-Israeli nuclear attack.
What Trump is delusional portraying as a small round of strikes which will allow him to claim victory is actually the start of a dangerous escalation which could see catastrophic damage to the entire world.
The global economy had the oil reserves in the first round of this war to offset a full-blown economic disaster…that buffer no longer exists. Trump is risking a global depression.

When journalists get attacked, the attack itself is rarely the real story.
Read the real story below:
We were nearly killed two days ago.
Settler-terrorist Tomer Liani bashed my head against the ground repeatedly, then the IDF and police blocked the ambulances and prevented hospitalisation.
All because we caught the settlers locking locking a gate to more than 20 Palestinian communities, trapping entire families.
We exposed Tomer Liani, Shimon Atia and Nevo Nadalski directly committing crimes against humanity in Masafer Yatta, and we were punished by the Israeli police and court for this.
Israeli state terrorism in the West Bank is at its peak, and the authorities are doing everything to keep Palestinian voices silent.

Binance just published how $6.34 billion walked out the door.
June: an engineer searches for a popular AI coding tool, clicks a search result, and installs a tampered homebrew. Binance catches it, replaces the laptop, rotates the credentials. the attackers now know who works on the wallet team.
September: another engineer gets a job offer on a real job-hunting site. first-round interview with “HR” over live video. “HR” shares their social media, personal photos and videos included, so he trusts them. second round is with the “CEO” of a company that doesn’t exist. at the end of the call he’s asked to download a take-home “assignment” onto his work laptop.
the assignment quietly swaps out pyenv for a malicious copy. No antivirus flags it.
october 20: the attacker uses binance’s own internal AI tool to get into two more engineers’ machines. One of them has a container deployment token sitting on his laptop.
october 29: container deployed. Signing service reached. $6.34 billion moved.
Binance shut off withdrawals. the money kept moving anyway, because the attacker had already given their own smart contract permission over a hot wallet, on-chain. binance’s off switch didn’t reach that far.
then they tried to revoke the permission. the wallet uses MPC, so there’s no single private key to sign the revoke with. they had to build a revoke procedure on the spot while funds were still leaving.
last stolen ETH went through at 23:56 UTC. almost four hours after the first transfer.
Phew!

BREAKING: Revolut moved ~2,000 engineers onto self-hosted GLM for coding and pushed Claude Code and Codex to the exception list.
Per David Abitbol, who leads AI ops there: 56 Nvidia B200s, a blended 30 cents per million tokens, roughly a tenth of what they paid Anthropic and OpenAI. Engineering lead time improved 70%.
Here's the part that matters: the gains showed up when tokens stopped being rationed. Engineers quit saving AI for the hard tickets and pointed it at everything.
Frontier models become the exception, open weights become the default. That's a pricing problem for every lab heading to IPO.
h/t @OliverMolander
Would you move your team off frontier APIs if the bill dropped 90%?
