Why do collectors chase key comics? Because a key is a piece of the story itself: the first time a character appears, the issue where everything changed.
But most collectors judge a digital comic's significance by its IRL price. I think that's a mistake.
"Mourning Glory" by Gary Baseman on @veve_official.
The pop surrealist behind Disney's Teacher's Pet paints a spirit in Victorian mourning dress embracing a moa, a bird lost centuries ago, among New Zealand's native birds. Grief and hope in one frame.
The man who replaced Captain America got a new name.
Captain America #354 (1989), first full appearance of John Walker as U.S.Agent.
One VeVe comic a day, graded blind to price.

Can someone explain me the why I should buy the Digital Proof version at 210 instead of the regular at 50?
@veve_official
I see no differenc on them in the app.
And if someone can have ElmonX unblock me would be appreciated.
That $18,600 is a scarcity price: only four CGC 9.0 copies exist.
Significance is a different question. Graded blind to price: B · 55. A classic Kirby monster debut, with limited reach beyond comics.
On VeVe every copy is mint, so scarcity works differently.
FIN FANG FOOM IS COMING TO VEVE!
Strange Tales #89 (1961) features the FIRST APPEARANCE of Fin Fang Foom, Marvel’s towering dragon-like alien with an unforgettable Jack Kirby cover!
How rare is this comic in its highest grade? According to the @gocollect, CGC 9.0 is the highest Universal grade on the @CGCComics census, with just FOUR copies! A copy in that grade last sold for $18,600 on July 18, 2022.

Scrooge McDuck’s first appearance wasn’t in his own comic.

So I grade the issue itself, on four criteria: issue type, character, cultural reach and continuity. Price never enters it. One comic a day.
Day 1: Avengers #66 (1969). First appearance of adamantium, the metal later bonded to Wolverine.
65/100, tier A− @veve_official
First appearance Woody. Pixar on @veve_official.
In 1995, Toy Story became the first fully computer-animated feature film ever made, and Woody was at the center of it. Loyal, stubborn, a little jealous, and always there for Andy. Thirty years later he's still the heart of Pixar.
A piece of animation history, now in AR.
My dear fellow collectors, I present to you the R and SR of the coming comic Strange Tales(1951) #89
