you can lose anything in life, but you should never lose your ability to stand on your own two feet. build something for yourself that no one can ever take away. obsession is the only way.

i can’t think of anything more exciting than being deep into AI and experimenting as much as you can with the newest models, features and use cases. there is no better time to be alive.
We’re opening a research preview of Claude Duet, a new app where Claude works as a proactive agent. It comes to you with what needs your attention, completes tasks you ask of it, keeps working when you step away, and checks with you before it acts on your behalf.

imagine you live your life in a way where you focus on yourself, not in a selfish way, but you find it hard to be happy for other people and you get jealous over every little thing when someone in your friend group has something better than you. if you keep living like that, you will destroy your life and your joy. try to actively practice being happy for OTHER PEOPLE. when a friend or family member does well, make a conscious effort to celebrate with them and picture yourself having the same wins they have, just like the good things you have already achieved. feel genuinely happy for them as if it had happened to you too i promise you this will definitely change your mood and the way you see success. it will bring you more joy in life, more motivation for your own goals and more happiness
Being kind to others boosts your mental health more than seeking joy for yourself.

harvard did an MRI study in which people did 8 weeks of mindfulness meditation for 27 min. a day. their amygdala (the fear and anxiety part of your brain) visibly SHRANK, and their hippocampus, tied to memory and self-awareness, actually GREW

a wise man once said: "sometimes the strongest thing you can do is nothing at all. just sit with the pain, breathe through the chaos, and remind yourself that you've survived every storm so far."

AI has genuinely made me smarter, more curious, more creative and a better person. I honestly don’t know what I would have done without AI or what would have become of me…

Motivation only works when the task is small enough that you can do it consistently. Think about a video game where you could never make it past level one. You would quit. So you break the actions down into something so easy that you do them every day. This builds a baseline. it builds confidence. it builds momentum, and it starts creating identity. If you think you can do 10 push-ups a day, do 5. You actually want to build up the feeling that you can do more. Then the compounding does the rest. Because even though things feel super easy, you're being consistent, and it's going to compound into results you weren't expecting.

ElevenLabs must be sweating a little right now. Their v3 has us typing [whispers] into scripts and hoping the tag lands, while Fish Audio's Drama 3 lets you describe the performance like you'd talk to an actor and fix one word instead of the whole line. I'm convinced that's the right direction for voice Al. The next race isn't about who sounds most human, it's about who's easiest to direct.

Suppressing emotions and overthinking often go hand in hand. You don't deal with the feeling, so your mind keeps looping around it Honestly it wouldn't surprise me if overthinking is even worse than stress itself So the next time you notice you're stuck in an endless loop of thoughts, drop everything and make one simple decision, or take one action and follow through with it It doesn't really matter what you do. You just need to send your brain a clear signal that a decision has been made and the overthinking can stop now
Emotional suppression is linked to a shorter life.

your life gets 10x better the moment you realize you can actively influence your luck. it follows a super simple but effective formula: luck = telling x doing. doing one thing and getting better at it every day is just the beginning. if you really want to accelerate your projects and goals, you absolutely have to build a growing network of people.

This is exactly why I love reading Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment (currently at 88%). It's mind blowing how precisely, clearly and with such emotional impact someone can write and tell a deeply psychological story. What was the first book that introduced you to GREAT writing?
great writing pulls a stranger into your world & makes them live there for a minute so feel something they couldn’t quite put into words themselves.

Reading biographies is one of the most valuable things you can do with your day. In a single moment, you get the chance to discover, understand and be inspired by the thoughts of the greatest minds of all time, and to use them to do something better or differently in your own life. It's like a private conversation between you and the person you want to learn from. I can only recommend actively blocking out time in your calendar every day, at least 40 to 60 minutes. Directly or indirectly, it will change your life.
People don't understand Napoleon's insane IQ. Napoleon once spotted a shipment of boots missing in an army of 500,000 troops. Napoleon once recalled 2 cannons missing from formation of 500 of them. Napoleon would read for 12 hours straight on the most abstruse subjects. Napoleon had a custom library designed to take with him on campaign. Napoleon would dictate and read letters while taking baths. Napoleon would kick his counselors awake when they started falling asleep at 2 in the morning. You are very likely not operating at Napoleon's level. When you study the greats of history you really realize the true level of genius that these people operate at.

Sabi just raised $50M for a wearable hat that guesses your next 3-4 keystrokes before you type them. it takes a lot of courage to design your own custom chips and a Brain Foundation Model, but that's the real advantage. anyone who doesn't build their own chips is simply ngmi.

Every passion has a battery. You can lift for 2 hours, maybe write for 3, but nobody does one thing for 14 hours straight and enjoys it So when one battery runs out, switch to the next. Read until you're done, then write, then draw, then make music. Each one recharges while you use the others People call that being unfocused. I think it's how you stay creative all day without burning out

Please normalize talking to yourself out loud. Writing is the best thinking tool we have because it forces vague ideas into exact words, and the gaps show up immediately. Talking out loud does the same thing, except you can do it in the car, on a walk, in the shower, anywhere you'd normally put on a podcast.

Getting started in any field is humiliating. You can't hold the brush right, you don't know the terms, you don't have enough context to even understand what you're doing wrong. Most people feel that disconnect and take it as a sign. So they switch fields, hit the same wall again, and switch again. 5 years later and they are still a beginner.
