🚨🗣️| Nicky Butt reacts to JJ Gabriel potentially signing for Real Madrid “Look, I’ve been around the game long enough to know when a young lad’s getting carried away with himself, and this JJ Gabriel business is a classic case of it.” “Sixteen years of age, still wet behind the ears, and he’s already decided Manchester United ain’t good enough for him. They had him training with the first team, they were ready to throw him on in the Carabao Cup, they treated him like the golden boy because everyone could see the talent, and what does he do? He downs tools, stops training, and tells them he wants out because the pathway isn’t clear enough. Pathway? At sixteen? Come on, be serious.” “Now he’s off to Real Madrid, and I don’t care what anyone says about Castilla and development plans — that place is already stacked with wingers. Vinicius, Mbappé, Rodrygo, that young Diomande lad who’s already getting minutes, Endrick, Brahim… the list goes on.” “He’s not walking into that dressing room and demanding a place. He’s walking into a queue that stretches all the way back to the academy. They’ll park him in the B team, tell him he’s the future, and then when the next big signing arrives he’ll be further down the pecking order than he ever was at Old Trafford.” “And the worst part is, United have got kids of their own coming through who actually want to be there. This sends the wrong message to every single one of them. You don’t get special treatment and then spit it back in the club’s face because someone in Spain’s whispering in your ear.” “I’ve seen too many of these ‘next Messis’ chase the bright lights and end up nowhere. The lad’s got talent, no one’s denying that, but talent without a bit of patience and a bit of humility doesn’t get you very far in this game. in a couple of years he might be wondering why he didn’t just keep his head down at Manchester United.”

🚨I understand season ticket holders are scared of losing their seats if they stop attending. That's a genuine concern. But fans can STILL walk out at half-time, stop buying merchandise and hit the Glazers and INEOS where it REALLY hurts — THEIR POCKETS. We saw fans holding a “STANDARDS” banner against Bournemouth, but do you honestly think these owners lose a second of sleep over banners?! Protests mean NOTHING without real action. As long as the money keeps rolling in, they have little reason to change. I'm genuinely SICK of watching this club fall apart while the people responsible face ZERO consequences. We can't keep demanding change without doing something to FORCE it. It's absolutely HEARTBREAKING what Manchester United have become. 💔 #MUFC #GlazersOUT #IneosOUT

FC27 isn't a bad game, it's the players who bend over for the meta that make the game unejoyable and boring. Don't think I've played a single rivals game today that hasn't included Adayemi, Stanway, Kika, Lopez, Garcia and the other usual suspects #FC27

Terrible seat design in a terrible stadium… And it’s not only the seats… the roof continually leaks too - hence all the empty seats on display today. Built a brand new stadium that’s already obsolete and falling down within 2 decades 😂
Never noticed this wonderful seat design before @Arsenal

What Emery has done With Aston Villa is remarkable after being asset stripped by the red cartel. No doubt it will happen again this summer because of current Premier League rules. Either way Emery is the best manager in the league no doubt.

- Amorim made these players train with high intensity. - Carrick shortened training sessions and dropped the intensity. - Amorim got rid of Rashford and Garnacho because of discipline. He showed players their place and tried to bring standards back. - Carrick brought Rashford back and starts him EVERY SINGLE GAME despite everything that happened. - Amorim raised the physicality and fitness levels of these players. - Carrick didn’t even make them run in pre-season and these players are running less than literally EVERY opponent. Michael Carrick has DESTROYED literally every bit of progress made over the last 2 years. I was a big advocate for him getting the permanent job, but man… WHAT A WASTE OF EVERYONE’S TIME.

Under Amorim: 70 minutes with one more player on the pitch and these players couldn’t score a single goal at Old Trafford. Under Carrick: 70 minutes with one more player on the pitch and they again couldn’t score a single goal at Old Trafford. Different systems, same exact issue. When I repeatedly said don't talk about formations and systems when this team has bigger issues, I got called all sorts of names. Mentality issues. Quality issues. Lack of squad depth. Lack of balance within the squad. We are SO far behind the big teams and we’re never catching up with these owners.

🚨 Carragher on Manchester City’s goal against United being given after a VAR check: 🗣️ Carragher: “They’ve checked Haaland and decided he’s onside. Brilliant. Nobody was asking about Haaland. Look at Enzo Fernandez . He’s standing offside when the ball comes in. Martinez has to deal with him because he’s right there challenging for the ball. He doesn’t have the luxury of saying, ‘Don’t worry, Enzo is offside, I’ll leave this one.’ He tries to deal with the situation, the ball goes beyond him and it falls to Haaland. Then VAR comes along, draws the line on Haaland and says goal. Well done. You’ve proved the man who finished the move was onside. Now perhaps check why the ball reached him. That’s the bit I don’t understand. If Enzo isn’t standing there, Martinez deals with the cross completely differently. So how can we say he hasn’t affected the play simply because he didn’t touch the football? By that logic, just stand five yards offside in front of every defender. Don’t touch the ball. Make him deal with you, let it run through to somebody who’s onside and apparently you’ve done nothing. That’s not football. Sometimes VAR looks so closely at the final frame that they forget there was a football match happening before it.”
