Bought the flagship Garmin Fenix 8 Pro from the UAE store on May 19, 2026. Took it to Georgia in August for trekking/swimming. One swim and the battery dropped from 22 days to DEAD in 24 hours. Left me completely stranded without navigation in the mountains.
Absolute shame for an outdoor brand.
Returned to Dubai, store swapped it in middle of September after citing a known "motherboard manufacturing defect."
Unbelievably, the replacement watch died on me during the Dubai Forex Expo. Dropped from 14 days of battery to 0 in SIX HOURS. I guess it couldn’t handle me shaking hands with people?
Garmin UAE arranged a courier pickup on Thursday morning. It’s been 36 hours of absolute radio silence. No email, no call, no update.
