If the Celtics had attempted to trade Tatum & officially chosen to make it Brown’s team, does anyone actually believe Jaylen would have fought to keep Jayson in Boston?
Jeff Teague says when he played for Boston it was always some tension between Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown:
“It wasn’t bad tension. It was competitive tension. Like, JB was the number 3 pick. JT came the next year number 3 pick. JT started immediately. JB had to work for his, you know what I mean? It was just a little competitive beef like they think he better than me kind of thing. So JB always been for the fight like, JB had his time last year. JT was out. He showed what he can do that he was an elite player. So now JB like I want to be in them same conversations they put your name in.”

Top 50 single-season QB performances since 2018 by EPA + CPOE:
🥇 Drake Maye (2025)
🥈 Drew Brees (2018)

All this drama ultimately boils down to one simple fact.
C’s assessed the current NBA landscape and how the CBA is set up. Realized they can’t pay two wings 60M+ a year where there’s overlap in their games. Team valued JT as the better player. JB’s ego is hurt.

But when Drake Maye loses to this defense, that was better last year, in the Super Bowl while having absolutely 0 help whatsoever, he gets clowned

Jaylen Brown's response to Jayson Tatum saying there's no beef:
"He got a great PR team. There's no beef but there might be a little lamb chops with some gravy."

It’s hilarious how quiet this app gets when Jayson Tatum is having a great game, but we all saw how they reacted after Game 1. Easily the most hated superstar in the league.
