This is what awaits you, if you build your business in anthropics platform. Like Amazon, they will systematically take the highest margin businesses in house, leaving you crumbs. And you are giving them the data to do it. Embrace open source for your businesses agentic operating system, before it’s too late. That’s my expertise, dms open if anybody needs help.
Gavin Baker: Anthropic Believes They Could Be the ONLY Company Left in the World “I would certainly discourage Dario from saying that ever again to anyone.” @GavinSBaker: “Internally, Anthropic is very confident. I have been told by multiple people I trust that Dario has said that Anthropic might be the only private company in the world at some point. Think about that. In this vision, an Anthropic maximalist vision, there's Anthropic, and then there are governments, and that's it. So there's a lot of confidence. I'm sure they have more advanced checkpoints than Fable up their sleeve. They've executed really, really well. I would probably take the under on them being the only private company in the world. Yeah, I think it's gonna be a long time before they land a rocket.” @Jason: “Or they deliver your lunch. I don't know. There might be other businesses in the world. Zipline might want to bring you a burrito. Uber might want to take you somewhere. Waymo might want to drive you home. But sure, Dario.” @DavidSacks: “I might interpret that as a negative signal because it's so hubristic. This is getting into SBF land a little bit.” Gavin: “I would certainly discourage Dario from saying that ever again to anyone.”

People fixated on the right to terminate Anthropic and googles massive SpaceX ai compute deals in 90 days are missing something. The actual clauses are 90 days notice, rolling inside a 6 month window . That means it’s only 90 days twice a year, at a defined moment. The average moment of termination in crises therefore is far longer. And that duration favors SpaceX massively, since they are also a competitor with pricing power.

Bloomberg: OpenAI plans to buy AI chips from Google, adding a direct rival’s processors to its compute build-out. Richard Ho, who runs OpenAI’s chip team, previously worked on Google’s TPUs, linking OpenAI’s in-house effort to the hardware it now plans to buy. Oracle will also offer TPUs through its cloud, so Google’s chips are spreading to outside buyers and rival clouds as an alternative to Nvidia GPUs.

Truth
Socialism, communism, and fascism are three flavors of the same poison: the state directing resources that individuals would allocate far more efficiently through voluntary exchange. Socialism nationalizes production gradually. The Venezuelan government seized PDVSA's operations fully by 2007, and by 2019 oil output had collapsed from 3.2 million to under 800,000 barrels daily. Central planners lack the price signals that tell producers what to make, when, and in what quantity. Without market prices, rational economic calculation becomes impossible. Communism simply accelerates this endpoint. Mao's Great Leap Forward collectivized Chinese agriculture between 1958 and 1962, killing an estimated 45 million people through famine. Total state ownership produces total state failure. Eliminating incentives entirely produces mass death. Fascism is socialism with better marketing. Private ownership remains nominally intact, but the state dictates production targets, prices, and personnel. Mussolini's corporatism in 1930s Italy preserved company nameplates while gutting economic independence. The owner keeps the liability; the bureaucrat keeps the decisions. Free market thinkers draw one clear line: voluntary exchange versus coercion. Every system above sits firmly on the coercion side, differing only in their preferred speed of descent.

Introducing Bitwater: the water heater element that mines Bitcoin. It screws into the electric tank you already have. Physically decentralized mining that runs no matter what 🧵 Heat water. Mine Bitcoin. Same tank.

Canada is "diversifying away" from SpaceX with the Telesat LEO network. Step 1: pay SpaceX ~US$950M to launch it. Telesat Result: ~14 Tbps total by 2028, no consumer service. Meanwhile Starlink adds 14 Tbps every couple of weeks. Canadian Sovereignty, launched by Spacex from the USA 🇨🇦🚀
Thank goodness someone is willing to stand up to billionaires.

Fools. California already tried this, drove him to leave. He left. Stop the insanity. He and his companies are literally the only way that the USA survives what’s coming. Vote accordingly. Also, while she has a flawed world view generally, atlas shrugged by Ayn Rand is something that you should probably read, for perspective.
🚨 TO ALL AMERICANS. READ THIS BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE. 🚨 You have, living in your country right now, the greatest entrepreneur in human history. And I'm not sure you realize how close you are to losing him. Look at what this man has actually done. Tesla. Electric cars were a toy for rich hippies. He turned them into the most valuable car company on the planet and dragged the entire auto industry into the electric era. Every major carmaker on Earth followed him. SpaceX. In 2011, America lost the ability to send its own astronauts to space and had to buy seats from Russia. Elon gave that back to America. Rockets that land themselves and fly again, boosters reused more than 30 times, a company that now launches most of what humanity sends to orbit, and Starship, the biggest rocket ever built. Starlink. Internet anywhere on Earth, from rural America to war zones to hurricane-hit towns where every other network went dark. Neuralink. Paralyzed people controlling computers with their thoughts. And next, Blindsight, built to give sight back to the blind. X and xAI. He bought the last great public square and opened it back up to free speech, and he's building an AI whose mission is to understand the universe and tell the truth. And behind all of it, one single project, unchanged for more than twenty years. Make humanity multiplanetary so that no catastrophe can ever wipe us out. Move civilization to sustainable energy. Make sure AI stays on the side of truth and on the side of humans. Connect the human brain to AI so we don't get left behind. Extend the light of consciousness to the stars. Why should you trust him in the chaos we're living through? Because every time they said "impossible," he did it. Reusable rockets, impossible. Mass-market electric cars, impossible. Brain implants in humans, science fiction. Done, done, done. Because in 2008, with Tesla and SpaceX weeks away from bankruptcy, he put his last dollars into both instead of walking away rich. A man chasing power doesn't do that. A man chasing a mission does. And because he was warning the world about the dangers of AI a decade before it was fashionable, back when everyone laughed at him. Now here's the warning. Superintelligence is coming. Maybe within a few years. Whoever controls it when it arrives will hold more power than any government in history. Picture that power in the hands of socialists who already pressured platforms to silence you, who already treat free speech as a threat. That's not a policy debate. That's 1984 with a god-level machine behind it. That's darkness. And they've already told you what they'll do. A prominent voice on the left just said Elon might be in jail right now if Kamala Harris had won, and that "he knows what's coming" if Democrats take back power. If Democrats retake power, they will very likely try to put him in prison. If that happens, it's game over. Not for Elon. For you. For America. For all of us. Wake up.

Usually not political, but this is a modern day witch hunt. Musk is single handedly saving the United States economic prosperity. Vote accordingly.
HERE WE GO 🚨 16 Congress Democrats call on launching investigations into Elon Musk for more than 8 “crimes” If Democrats win Midterms it’ll be back to endless Investigations, Committees and Hearings against their political opponents The Democrats who want to investigate Elon Musk include: Rep Elizabeth Warren Rep Robert Garcia Rep Zoe Lofgren Rep Greg Meeks Rep Pramila Jayapal Rep Sydney Kamlager-Dove Rep Greg Casar Rep Maxine Dexter Rep Gerald Connolly Rep Jamie Raskin Rep Stephen Lynch Rep Jasmine Crockett Rep Kweisi Mfume Rep Richard Blumenthal Rep Chris Van Hollen Rep Ron Wyden The crimes Democrats believe Elon Musk is guilty for are - His role leading DOGE and the resulting federal job cuts, data access and alleged illegal spending freezes (like USAID) - Conflicts of interest from his companies holding billions in federal contracts and subsidies while he held a government role - Influence over Starlink, Starshield access for Ukraine - Alleged overstatement of DOGE savings and related GAO findings - Claims of data theft or improper access to sensitive systems from Treasury, Social Security and more - Dismantling of USAID and impacts on foreign aid and science agencies - Corruption, lawlessness and an unelected billionaire wielding executive power - His large political donations to Republicans and perceived efforts to shape government for personal or corporate gain, they say this is a crime

Truth. Comprehend it, if you care.
Top 5 Socialist sociopaths: Socialism destroys wealth systematically, and the leaders who implement it deserve to be judged not merely by their body counts but by the full scope of their economic vandalism and the machinery they build to sustain it. 1. Mao Zedong earns the top position without argument. His Great Leap Forward collectivized 500 million farmers, abolished private farming by 1958, and replaced price signals with production quotas set by party cadres who had never grown a crop. Steel output targets sent peasants melting their own tools in backyard furnaces while grain rotted unharvested. The economy contracted by 30 percent between 1959 and 1961. Mao knew the numbers and continued the policy anyway. 2. Fidel Castro ran Cuba for 49 years and handed his brother a country that still rations cooking oil. Before 1959, Cuba had a higher per capita income than much of Southern Europe. Castro nationalized 166 American businesses in 1960, then dismantled the domestic private sector entirely by 1968 during his "Revolutionary Offensive." Sugar, the one export Cuba could sell, averaged production below 1950 levels through the 1990s. Central planners cannot replicate what price signals do for free. 3. Hugo Chavez inherited a functional oil-exporting economy in Venezuela in 1999 and used oil revenue to paper over nationalization after nationalization, seizing more than 1,200 companies between 2002 and 2012. When oil prices fell after 2014, Venezuelan grocery store shelves were empty because Chavez and then Maduro had already killed domestic food production with price controls and land seizures. The people started eating zoo animals. Inflation hit 1,000,000 percent by 2018. Three million Venezuelans fled by 2019. 4. Nicolae Ceaușescu ran Romania with a particular brand of cruelty that deserves more attention than it gets. He repaid foreign debt by exporting virtually all Romanian food production through the 1980s, leaving Romanians with 1,500 calories per day while the Securitate secret police maintained one informant for every 43 citizens. The Danube-Black Sea Canal, built on political prisoner labor and costing billions, moved almost no commercially significant cargo. 4. Kim Il-sung built the definitive socialist laboratory in North Korea after 1948, and the results are legible from space. The Korean peninsula is one country split by an ideology, and the satellite image of darkness above the 38th parallel is the most damning economic graphic socialism has ever produced. Agricultural collectivization through the 1950s and 1960s created famine conditions that recur because the system has no mechanism to respond to scarcity except political denial. Each of these leaders shared one commitment: they all destroyed the price system. Prices tell you what people actually value, and that information was politically inconvenient.

Pou chèf gang yo ak manm gang yo k ap kenbe kat konpatriyòt nou yo an otaj ann Ayiti: Mesye nou kidnape yo pa konbatan. Nou deja fini ak gang yo nan El Salvador, e nou kapab fini ak nou tou. Nou toujou gen tan pou evite sa. Remèt nou kat konpatriyòt nou yo vivan, san okenn mal, epi tout bagay ap retounen jan sa te ye anvan kidnaping lan. Desizyon an nan men nou.

CHAMATH SAYS BITCOIN WILL EVENTUALLY BE HACKED AND GO TO ZERO Speaking on the Moonshots podcast, billionaire investor Chamath Palihapitiya warned that advances in AI could eventually break Bitcoin’s cryptography. He argues that the community is too divided to coordinate a transition to quantum-resistant security. “I just think it’s capped, and then I think eventually it gets hacked, and then it goes to zero.”

What now @PeterSchiff ?
A San Francisco startup says it just turned mercury into real gold, and their own math says gold is one of the cheapest things their machine can make. Aim it at a different metal and it makes a cancer drug ingredient worth tens of billions of dollars a gram. Here's how it works. When you fuse two kinds of hydrogen, deuterium and tritium, every single reaction kicks out a neutron moving at 14.1 MeV, which is absurdly fast. Fire one into mercury-198 and it knocks another neutron loose on the way through, so two come out and you're left with mercury-197. Give that a few days and it decays into gold-197, the only stable kind of gold there is. The whole trick needs neutrons above about 6 MeV, and regular nuclear reactors barely make those, while fusion makes one every time it fires. Now swap the mercury for radium-226. Same reaction, one neutron in and two out, and you end up with radium-225, which decays into actinium-225. Novartis is building its next prostate cancer drug around actinium-225, and it's so scarce it sells by the millicurie, roughly $1,200 to $2,500 apiece. Price it by the gram and you're into the tens of billions of dollars, for a material so radioactive nobody could safely hold a gram of it anyway. Marathon's team actually put a dollar value on a single fusion neutron in a paper this year. Use it to make electricity and it's worth about $3 × 10⁻²⁰. Gold comes in at $2.6 × 10⁻²⁰, basically a wash. Molybdenum-99, which goes into about 80% of nuclear medicine scans, is worth $2.6 × 10⁻¹⁷ a neutron. Actinium-225 is worth about $10⁻¹⁰, around 3 billion times what the electricity's worth. That's why fusion people should care. Every fusion company you've heard of is chasing electricity, and selling electricity only pays once the plasma puts out something like 10 to 22 times the energy you pump in to heat it. The best result so far, at JET in England, was about a third. Add gold on the side and Marathon's math says you break even around 3x. For molybdenum-99, the number is 0.001x. So a machine that gives back one-thousandth of the energy you feed it can still make money, as long as the neutrons hit the right metal. By their numbers, a 3 megawatt machine running way below breakeven could cover the whole world's supply of molybdenum-99, which today comes from splitting uranium in a handful of research reactors. Today's experimental fusion machines already beat the gain that job needs. Their second post basically says this out loud. Marathon now describes itself as an isotope company for radiopharma. Their chart shows roughly 390 targeted radiotherapy trials. Pluvicto, the prostate cancer drug Novartis launched at $42,500 a dose, did $1.9 billion in sales last year. Gold still matters to them, just later. It's about a $700 billion a year market, and Marathon's paper figures it could soak up around 2 terawatts of fusion capacity, which is roughly the scale where fusion actually moves the grid. So the plan is to sell cancer isotopes out of small machines now and use gold to pay for the giant ones, years before electricity can pay for itself.

A programmer and a software engineer aren’t the same. I’ve known many people who made a living writing code, but they were always a cog in a larger process they never understood. Frontier models can do that job today. 1000x better. Software engineers can write code, but they always understood code was a means to an end. Software engineering is alive and well.

Bravo! We’re saddling kids with student & government debt. Nice to see a move the other way with @elonmusk’s pledge of 1 SpaceX share to every legally resident or Citizen kid via Trump Accounts (nearly 70M already enrolled). They convert to IRAs at 18—every eligible child starts adulthood with assets.
Next year, I will give one of my SpaceX shares to every kid in America. This will be the first of many.
