I've been doing UGC since 2022, and I swear I NEVER hear anyone talk about this. Canadian creators, just a reminder: if you're making over $30K, especially in a single quarter, make sure you understand the GST/HST registration rules. If you're required to collect it but aren't charging it, that tax can come straight out of YOUR pocket. I have a couple of Canadian clients where we've agreed in our contracts that taxes and fees are on me, so that's something I factor into my rates. But I don't fuck with the CRA.... Hustled my way into a six month non-compete retainer contract. WHAT THE HELL!!!! 👀 I’m wrapping up my 12th project with this client since July. Having worked as a nurse on an endocrinology floor, creating content around hormones, PCOS, and fertility comes pretty naturally to me. The client offered a year. I negotiated six months, with five videos a month. And a reminder: exclusivity isn’t automatically a bad deal. Look at the compensation, the length of the commitment, and exactly what you’re agreeing to. If the terms make sense for your business, it can absolutely be worth it. 👀 #ugc #ugccommunity #ugccreator

TALKING HEAD UGC EXAMPLE 👇🏽 The strategy behind this concept? Instead of just talking about saving energy, we built the concept around making a no-bake Thanksgiving pie. The goal? Show people a simple way to save energy during the holidays through something they’d actually be doing anyway. Making the tip feel relevant to the season instead of just listing energy-saving tips. 📩 [email protected] #ugc #ugccommunity #ugccreator

One line. That’s all it took for me to lose my damn mind…. Third time working with Efficiency Nova Scotia, and my FIFTH video with them. 👀 We went with a Thanksgiving inspired concept to bring awareness to energy use during the holidays. We love a client who comes back THREE times in a few months 👀 The first two projects were built around nursing related concepts, so this one was a little different. Here’s a few snippets from this one👇🏽 #ugc #ugccommunity #ugccreator

FFS stop using TRYBE as a place to do gifted collaborations or seeding campaigns. We have a lot of platforms that already do that. You're not using it to its fullest potential as a PERFORMANCE BASED platform. Here's how I'd actually use it if you're trying to build a creator program that contributes to paid social 👇🏻 1. Be selective with who gets product. You don't need to approve every creator who applies. Look at whether they can actually communicate on camera and whether their content makes sense for the customer you're trying to reach. 2. Give creators enough direction to make something useful. Your brief should give them the product facts, customer pain points, offer, claims they can and can't make, and examples of what's currently working. They should understand what you're trying to sell without being handed a script. 3. Review submissions quickly. If creators are submitting content and it sits in review for two-three weeks, you're slowing down the entire program. Approve usable content, give actionable feedback when something needs work, and keep things moving. 4. Actually launch the content into ads. I've seen brands with a huge library of approved creator content that has never been tested. Before recruiting another hundred creators, figure out why the content you've already collected isn't making it into the ad account. IF YOU'RE PAYING CREATORS BASED ON THE PERFORMANCE OF THEIR ADS, THEN THEY'RE SUBMITTING CONTENT "FOR FREE" WITH THE ASSUMPTION THAT IT WILL ACTUALLY BE RUN AS AN AD. HOW TF ARE THEY SUPPOSED TO EARN IF YOU'RE NOT GONNA RUN IT? APPROVE WHAT YOU CAN RUN. REJECT WHAT YOU CAN'T AND GIVE THE CREATOR FEEDBACK. DON'T JUST APPROVE EVERYTHING BECAUSE YOU'RE SCARED TO HURT THE CREATOR'S FEELINGS. 5. Understand that launching an ad is only the beginning of the test. Some creator ads will barely spend, some will get turned off quickly, and a small number will continue getting budget because they're showing promise. You need enough creative going through this process to actually learn what works. 6. Look at the creators getting meaningful spend. Once you have enough data, look at which creators are consistently getting budget behind their content and which ones have produced multiple ads that spend... AND INVEST IN THEM EARLY. 7. Use performance data to guide the next round of content. If certain hooks, pain points, formats or products keep getting spend, tell your creators. Host weekly or bi-weekly calls with them. You just CAN'T skip this part. 8. Recruit based on what you've learned. Once you know which creator profiles, products, angles and formats are actually working in paid social, use that information when recruiting the next group. You're no longer just adding creators to the roster and hoping someone makes something good. 🩷 Sincerely, someone who spends 12+ hours a day on trybe, discord and slack working on affiliate programs and paying out over $250K in creator commissions and bonuses

I accidentally found out how much money I was leaving on the table with whitelisting. 👀 I work with a few agencies that continuously whitelist my content, and honestly? I never really thought much about it. Until I deleted my page. I wasn’t thinking, “Oh shit, brands are going to come looking for me.” 😂 I just wanted a fresh page. Next thing I know, I’m getting messages from my points of contacts asking why their access was gone. And that’s when I realized… I had 15+ brands using my content through my account/name and I hadn’t really been thinking about what that was worth. I felt bad, because I’m genuinely not a creator who wants to nickel and dime brands over every little thing. BUT. There’s a difference between being EASY to work with and giving away something that has VALUE. If a brand wants to run my content under my name/account, that’s something I need to be factoring into my pricing. Apparently deleting my page was the wake-up call I needed. 😂 Creators: go check your whitelisting permissions.

THIS is the kind of client feedback I f****** love. “I think we are gonna do pretty good.” I don’t just want to send a brand a video and say, “here yaaaa go.” I want them looking at: 👉🏽 the creative thinking 👉🏽 the execution 👉🏽 the different angles 👉🏽 the possibilities That’s the SHIT I’m after. #ugc #ugccommunity #ugccreator

I didn’t deliver the hooks my client gave me…… here’s why 👀 Instead of: “Here’s how you could save up to 60% on accounting costs at tax time.” I went with: “If you run your own business and tax season means handing your accountant a mountain of receipts, here’s how you could save up to 60% on accounting costs.” SEE THE DIFFERENCE?? I’m not just talking about the topic. I’m telling the RIGHT person, “This is for you.” Same thing with the second hook: Instead of: “Your business expenses could reduce your taxable income, but only if you keep track of them.” I went with: “If you run your own business and you’re not keeping track of every expense, you’re leaving tax deductions on the table.” CALL OUT the person you’re trying to reach. Don’t make them figure out whether the ad is for them. #ugc #ugccommunity #ugccreator

Looking to hire a video editor for a YOUTUBE VIDEO One-off project to start, but I’m looking for someone I can potentially work with on an ongoing basis to help me offload my ugc videos because I am SO busy I literally do not have the capacity to edit everything myself 😂 First project is footage from a resort I went to last year that I want turned into a YouTube video. Nothing crazy or overly edited I just need someone who can take my footage, put it together into a cohesive YouTube video, clean it up, add music where it makes sense, etc. If you’re interested, drop your portfolio + rates below. Please do not DM me.

One product. Two creative directions. This is why I love creating iterations. I took the original concept and changed the opening, added a reaction moment, and gave the viewer a different reason to keep watching. 👉🏽 The opening 👉🏽 The reaction moment 👉🏽 The reason to keep watching You don’t always need to reinvent the entire ad to create something new. Sometimes a small change in the hook, delivery, or visual can completely change how the content feels. Now it’s time to test em 👀

PRODUCT DEMO UGC EXAMPLE 👇🏽 This was genuinely my first time trying magnetic lashes on camera. And honestly? I was IMPRESSED. I’ve been leaning more and more into front-camera UGC lately because this is exactly how I’d send a friend a video when I’m trying something new. No overproduction. No perfectly rehearsed demo. Just “okay, let me try this and show you.” And I think there’s something really valuable about capturing that genuine first reaction. 📧 [email protected] #ugc #ugccommunity #ugccreator

When the brand brief literally sends you to a Google Drive folder for “the feel”… and you open it and realize it’s your videos. 😂 Okayyyyy, I’ll take that compliment. This campaign was also right up my alley because I’m very comfortable talking about GLP-1s. Before they became such a huge topic online, I was already familiar with the medications, the conditions they’re used to treat, and the conversations around them through my nursing career. So when GLP-1 content started popping up everywhere, I was like… oh, I know this stuff 👀 So brands, if you’re looking for a creator who’s genuinely comfortable talking about GLP-1s, let’s talk. 📧 [email protected] #ugc #ugccommunity #ugccreator

You don’t need unlimited free time to take advantage of commission-based opportunities. You need to choose products that naturally fit into your routine. I’m extremely SELECTIVE with what projects I accept because my schedule is packed. But I do have time for opportunities that fit into what I’m already doing. Do I want a flat rate? Absolutely. I have bills to pay now, just like everyone else. 😂 Last week, I was completely SLAMMED, but I still had to do my makeup. So I worked the foundation I’m promoting through Trybe into my getting-ready routine and filmed a video a day. Each video took me LESS THAN 15 MINUTES. The point? Don’t look for more time. Look for products that fit into the time you already have. #ugc #ugccommunity #ugccreator

I keep my edits pretty damn simple. I’m talking classic font, no transitions, no flying text, and none of those overproduced edits. And honestly? Some people might find those edits attention grabbing. Others might find them overstimulating. Personally, I’m looking for something that feels natural and gets straight to the point. Because here’s the thing… At the end of the day, I don’t really give a F how fancy your edits are. 👉🏽 Will you solve my problem? 👉🏽 Will you answer my question? 👉🏽 Will you help me make a decision? That’s what I’m looking for when I’m watching content or trying to decide whether I want to buy something. Simple doesn’t mean INEFFECTIVE. #ugc #ugccommunity #ugccreator
