In the rise of fascism in Germany, there were groups of gay people who tried to be “the good ones” by embracing “masculinist ideals,” saying that was how you win gay rights.
When it became clear they would be targeted too, many took on wives and “stopped being gay.”

LGBTQ voters were 8% of the electorate, and voted 86% for Democrats in 2024. Without us, Trump would have won in a landslide. No path to victory in 2028 involves cutting us loose from the Democratic coalition. No matter how many well-paid pundit bros wish otherwise.

What matters is that we protect as many people as possible until it does.
And that we step up to fill the vacuum in true leadership and bold policy that Democratic leaders refuse to fill themselves.
