They did it again. Holy shit. The venue MAY have a seating capacity of 1800 when you don’t have a ring and production setup taking up that space. The BUILDING has a capacity of about 1300, which has signs saying as much. Also, I was there personally for TNA in 2024 when Jeff Hardy returned (June of 2024), and the CFD Fire Marshall was there not letting more people in and kicking others out it hit that building capacity, which always outweighs the seating capacity.

I seriously hope WWE has no plans to renew its contract with Saudi Arabia and that the deal ends after 2027. Every single time WWE starts preparing for Saudi Arabia, the product comes to a screeching halt. Storylines stall, momentum disappears, and the quality suffers drastically. Then it takes them months to get things back on track, if not longer. On top of that, we now have legitimate concerns about the safety of the wrestlers and staff because of the ongoing tensions in the region, especially with the situation involving Iran. This isn't even the first time wrestlers' and staff members' lives have been in danger, and I seriously doubt it'll be the last. I understand that the current administration was dealt a bad hand when Vince McMahon signed this deal nearly ten years ago, but they could've explored ways to amend it or, if necessary, get out of it instead of continuing with it. It certainly doesn't seem like many people enjoy traveling over there, despite the amount of money they're being paid. So now we, as fans, have to wait for this glorified house show to come and go so WWE can collect its paycheck while the rest of the product sits in limbo. It sucks.

As of now, WWE Crown Jewel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia next Saturday is moving forward and construction has also begun. There has also been no sign of management wavering in that regard. (PWlnsider)
