I frequently recommend beef isolate protein over whey for my clients with gut issues, while we are addressing the root cause: -Completely dairy-free (no lactose or milk proteins); even whey isolates contain trace lactose or dairy proteins that can cause bloating or gas depending on the person’s gut -Higher in amino acids like glycine and proline that support gut lining and connective tissue, unlike whey -Many versions are hydrolyzed (pre-broken into smaller peptides), which can make them easier to digest You can get up to 40% off using code: COOKINGWITHCHRIS equipfoods.com/COOKINGWITHCH…

It’s tough finding out you have SIBO or other gut conditions, but honestly a lot of times my clients are happy Happy that they FINALLY have clarity Most people have wasted years with traditional doctors refusing to do any real testing, telling them “everything looks normal” and sending them on their way They start to think it’s all in their head, and sometimes give up entirely Obviously it requires work to heal, but sometimes having a clear path forward is a breath of fresh air gut.cookingwithchris.co/

And if you want more of a full meal (or you’re scared of chicken feet), this is a whole, 4 lb chicken in the pressure cooker for 25 mins Threw some carrots, celery, onions, garlic, bay leaves and chicken in there, then seasoned with salt & pepper + fresh dill Unbelievably easy and delicious
All you need is some chicken feet, a couple veggies, a pressure cooker and 2 hours to make the best bone broth ever

Combining vitamin c with collagen can help increase collagen synthesis Quality collagen + fresh squeezed oj is a super powerful synergistic stack
Vitamin C + Collagen every single day One of the most powerful combinations for skin, gut and immune health: -Boosts collagen production (vitamin C is required for collagen synthesis) -Vitamin C as an antioxidant protects existing collagen from oxidative damage -Glycine that supports liver detoxification pathways (helpful especially for inflammation and acne) -Collagen peptides have amino acids that support the gut lining and reduce leaky gut linked to skin inflammation -Improves skin elasticity and firmness -Increases skin hydration -Helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles -Vitamin C supports the immune system

Had some shrimp on hand, so whipped up a quick shrimp cocktail with homemade cocktail sauce 90g of pure protein -Prep an ice bath first (big bowl of ice + water) -Bring a pot of heavily salted water to a boil (I added lemon slices, peppercorns, garlic cloves and bay leaves too) -Drop in the shrimp, cook just until they turn pink and opaque, typically 1½–3 minutes -Immediately drain and put into the ice bath for 5-10 minutes to stop cooking. -Pat dry, the refrigerate until nicely chilled Cocktail sauce: -¾ cup ketchup -2–3 tbsp prepared horseradish -1 tbsp fresh lemon juice -1 tsp Worcestershire sauce -¼–½ tsp hot sauce or to taste -Pinch of salt and pepper -This is better with bit shrimp, like 16-20’s (i only had 26/30’s) -These are very easy to overcook; I did 2 minutes and could’ve done 30 seconds less
