Why is nobody making more noise about this? This is a huge issue. They quietly updated the docs in August, this update was supposed to be live on September 1st but they postponed it.
REMOVE ALL FUNDS FROM PUMPFUN
Pumpfun is quietly degrading web3 login and will only allow users to login via email / socials
This is a MASSIVE security risk as socials / email is SIGNIFICANTLY easier to hack than self custody (done correctly)
They are also degrading web app functionality as it is no longer possible for users to claim fees via the web app
pumpfun is seriously not getting enough backlash for this
I have seen multiple crypto native protocols degrade web3 login and it’s honestly making me bearish on the entire industry
Devs get so much hate but there is a surplus of creative people who are too scared to fail and a huge shortage of unique ideas being tested on-chain.
It takes real bravery to push boundaries and give traders unique opportunities while accepting failure dozens of times per day.
