If an incident like Wainwright had happened on any US base, anywhere in the world, Canada would've been the first to offer condolences & assistance.
Meanwhile, Trump spent yesterday insulting & berating Canadians. Just like the wildfires.
No surprise there.
We will remember this.

Can’t make this up—After slapping tariffs on half the world for buying Russian oil, Trump agrees to buy Russian oil.

Treason is a unique offense. It’s an attack on a country’s ability to exist and protect everyone in it, not just a crime against a person or property.
Working with another country to break Canada up has serious implications. Political game time needs to be over for these bozos.

The upsurge in anti-Canadian sentiment from American leaders, and specifically statements that Canada "can't be allowed to interfere in U.S. elections, especially in Maine in Michigan" raises real concerns about 🇨🇦 being scapegoated by an administration facing electoral disaster.

The U.S. says there’s “no urgency” for a trade deal with Canada.
Then its own trade representative explained why:
“We’re still getting what we need from them” — oil, gas and potash.
That’s an interesting definition of not needing Canada.
Does that sound like independence — or interdependence?

Canada experienced net negative migration in the first half of 2026. It is also currently below its historical unemployment average.
There are plenty of issues to discuss if you drill down deeper. But POTUS is not engaging with reality in this post.

A few reflections heading home from the Bills game tonight as a Canadian. 🇨🇦🇺🇸🏈
There is a lot of noise in the Canada-U.S. relationship right now. Trade fights, tariffs, political rhetoric and plenty of frustration on both sides of the border.
But then you spend a night in Buffalo.
Canadians and Americans tailgating together. Singing both anthems. Cheering for the same team. Talking football, families and life. Nobody asking who won the latest political argument.
It is a good reminder that our relationship is much bigger than whoever happens to occupy political office at any particular moment.
We share communities, businesses, friendships, families, sports and a border that has connected us for generations.
Governments will disagree. We should stand up for our respective interests when they do.
But we shouldn’t lose sight of each other in the process.
Tonight felt like a reminder of that.
Break tables, not relationships. 🇨🇦🤝🇺🇸
