i think one of the reasons why i’m so proud of martin is because he’s living a dream i once had. my father is a musician, and i grew up surrounded by music too. he can play almost every instrument, and so can many of our relatives. my dad always wanted me to learn so many instruments, but back then i was too lazy and never really had the interest. i just loved dancing, singing, and dreamed of performing on stage, especially singing “never enough.” i only learned how to play piano, and sometimes i helped people with their songs by correcting things or adding little details. but as i got older, i became so focused on education that i slowly lost touch with that part of myself. that’s why seeing martin makes me feel so many things at once. sometimes i’m jealous because he’s living the dream i once imagined for myself, but more than anything, i’m genuinely so fucking happy and proud of him. he’s talented in so many ways. he can produce, play instruments, sing, dance, and he has that undeniable star quality. he’s the kind of artist i’ve always wished to see in the kpop industry. seeing him feels like seeing a little piece of my old dream come alive through someone else. and i couldn’t be happier that it’s him
