Cotswold Bees Ltd

I’m out and about today checking food stocks on hives as this is a dangerous time of year for bees. They are building up fast but there’s not a lot out there for them yet.

Our latest YouTube video How Bees Make Honey Is at: youtu.be/MYstgNllKiM I hope you enjoy it

Looking for a present for someone interested in bees? Why not get them a voucher for one of our courses? Prices start at just £15 and are available on our website. Just go to the courses section cotswoldbees.co.uk

We spent all day yesterday at the fabulous @BroadwayDeliUk with lots of honey goodies. Met some great people behind the masks.

We are on the telly again this weekend introducing @PrueLeith and her husband John to the wonderful world of beekeeping.

Bees all over the ivy today. Ivy is vitally important to bees as there is very little else that produces nectar at this time of year and the mild weather means they are still flying well.

Broadway Deli is the main outlet or for comb you can contact us direct at cotswoldbees.co.uk or you can find it at @CotswoldFarmPrk

Tomorrow night (Friday) we are on the telly Channel 5 at 8 pm with the wonderful @PamAyres We had a fantastic day filming with this lovely lady and she even left us with a poem.

So true. It’s about time people started treating bees as sentient animals and stopped all this “survival of the fittest” cruelty. It would not be acceptable with any other animal but bees don’t seem to count.

Bees still really busy on one of our borage fields today. This makes the most wonderful comb honey.

We call this section of borage the snack bar. It’s close to the hives but away from the main borage crop. The bees were working it like crazy today.

It’s wedding time. A bride collected 150 of our Meant To Be honey #wedding favours today. Happy honey moon.

Part of the Spring harvest from @conygreefarm Nearly all the frames are as good as this with no sign of rape honey. Far too good to spin most of these will be cut comb. Delicious #honey

Carol has got them ready but you will have to wait until coffee break. See you in the morning. Fingers crossed the weather will improve. It won’t affect the cakes though so don’t worry.

The first of our borage fields about to come into flower. Fingers crossed for a good year & lots of lovely borage honey.

Words are cheap, why are politicians so expensive when all they produce are words? When will you apply the same standards to imported honey that have to be adhered to in the UK?

So glad you enjoyed it. Fingers crossed for happy bees and lots of honey.

Bees collecting pollen today. Good to see them finally getting out after the awful weather of the last week.
