And it is always amazing how many of Legislators are so proud of our business & innovation but we are so very low on the salary level for teachers. And Vouchers are disgusting. Bob

If TX is to retain our status as a top state for business & innovation, we MUST invest in our public schools that educate 5.5M students every year. #IncreaseBasicAllotment #IncreaseTeachPay #FundOurFuture @GovAbbott @DanPatrickTX @DadePhelan @BradBuckleyDVM

Ray Zapeda finished as CFISD Athletic Director on Friday and started as UIL AD on Monday. As a 20 plus year member of the UIL Legislative Council, I know the value and leadership he will bring to HS athletics. CFISD is proud of Ray and thankful for his service in our district!

Proud of BHS and CFISD fine arts! Very impressive showing by our Bears! One of the toughest UIL events to even make it to state and then bring home a trophy! Great job!

Totally true and sad that our Legislators find the need to attack. God Bless our Nation and turn the hearts of so many leaders.
Mark Henry (@MarkHenry717) profile pictureMark Henry@MarkHenry71719 Apr 2023
The Elem Choir sings about the privilege of being an American. As state elected leaders shamelessly attack public school teachers, they still show up and care for ALL students. If you’re an elected leader and you are silent, as teachers are attacked, you’re complicit.

True words and Everyone should be paying attention. Do you want your hard earned tax dollars to be given to someone who has no transparency and does not have to follow same legal laws as public schools for accountability and teacher retention?
Julie Hinaman (@JulieHinaman) profile pictureJulie Hinaman@JulieHinaman12 Apr 2023
Our local school district isn’t afraid of competition. We already compete w/ public, charter, private, homeschool for students. When it comes to vouchers/ESAs/public $$, the playing field must be level to have a fair competition. #txed #txlege
