Happy Halloween from Moog Music! 👻 The theremin speaks in frequencies unseen, where sound becomes spirit.
The incredible @Viamardot brings it to life again paired with a Messenger for a performance that is both eerie and elegant.

You would not believe the quotations we have from inside TikTok. They know what they are doing to children including the addiction ("compulsive use") and attention fragmentation. You've got to read the quotations yourself:

WOW: @JonHaidt got info from inside TikTok admitting how they target kids:
"The product in itself has baked into it compulsive use... younger users... are particularly sensitive to reinforcement in the form of social reward and have minimal ability to self-regulate effectively"

If you child uses Snapchat, you should know what Snap's own employees and consultants say about the many ways Snapchat harms children. We collect stunning quotations from them (from the many legal briefs) at After Babel:

Hrm…
I want you to understand how unusual the moves were today.
Before Trump announced a pause, there was HUGE $QQQ volume on a 460C expiring 04/17.
They were bought for $0.85 and ran to as high as $31 per contract!!!
This was before any news.
Later in the day, it rallied 2000% in ten minutes.
The trader made millions.
Why was this unusual? For a few reasons:
- Firstly new opening volume on chain, minutes after market open
- IVR of +80 on $QQQ, with iv percentile of medium. So vol wasn’t anticipating a move this big
- all execution happened at once, at ask
- this was wildly out of the money at the time
- market was bearish, across the board
Unusual.

Brain rot is real, hitting adults too.
Two recent articles show that....
1) When our phones got smart, we got dumber:

2) When people are randomly assigned to make their smartphones dumb, they get smarter
