A teacher from Batley has been in hiding for five years after showing his religious studies class a cartoon of the Prophet Muhammad during a lesson about the Charlie Hebdo massacre.
On this week’s episode of the FSU Podcast, FSU Director of Policy and Research @DavidRoseUK speaks to the teacher’s friend, local activist Paul Halloran.
They discuss how a religious studies lesson approved by the school's managment triggered street protests, death threats, and institutional capitulation.
David also asks whether Paul thinks his friend will ever be able to live a normal life again. Paul’s answer is blunt: “No.”

I believe the leader of the Conservative Party could be the most consequential political leader in 40 years. Our country faces serious problems at home and abroad. Our politics refuses to accept the medicine needed to treat the problem. We need someone with extraordinary zeal, personal drive and a fierce will to get Britain back on track… much like we did in 1979. And that ended up rather well.

The Mayor of London and the British Muslim Trust are backing Islamophobia Awareness Month, a campaign co-founded by the Muslim Engagement and Development Group (MEND).
Successive governments have followed a policy of non-engagement with MEND since 2009 because of its extremist views. The FSU has also exposed links between all five members of the Working Group tasked with drafting the “anti-Muslim hostility” definition and Islamist organisations, including MEND.
Sadiq Khan posted on X: “This Islamophobia Awareness Month, we must shine a light on the abhorrent hatred and discrimination Muslims continue to face”.
Why are the Mayor of London and a taxpayer-funded NGO promoting a campaign whose co-founder has been cited in Parliament for its “Islamist orientation and views”?
Genuine hatred of Muslims should not be tolerated. But silencing legitimate criticism of Islam through the “anti-Muslim hostility” definition is not the answer. Existing laws already protect people from discrimination based on their religious beliefs.
As Fiyaz Mughal writes in The Telegraph: “The sad reality is that having a month-long campaign pushing the message that things are bad for Muslims in Britain does not help integration. Instead, it adds to the narrative of Islamist extremists.”

Patrick Christys says it like it is, means what he says and speaks for millions of people across this country who are sick of being ignored.
Here he breaks down the whole racket: support for migrants in France, the journey across the Channel, and the British state then bringing them ashore and housing them. Meanwhile, British taxpayers are expected to keep footing the bill.
It's great to have a broadcaster in this country who actually has the guts to say what millions are thinking.
