It was a privilege to be asked to submit an article to the Indicator. I've known @CraigSilverman through the OSINT community for a number of years now and it was good to catch up with him in Australia.

Within the #OSINT community there is a well-known trick of hashing an email address to find an account on Gravatar. I am going to show you 2 other ways to find a Gravatar account without having to hash the email address. It's always good to have options.

The first one is to visit gravatar.com/site/check and simply input the email of interest.

The second way is to use this URL - en.gravatar.com/USERNAME (Type USERNAME as shown in uppercase) Gravatar cannot find an account USERNAME, so it will take you to an error page where you can simply input your email of interest.

Whilst on my travels recently I was catching up on my podcasts and I listened to the @osintpodcast hosted by @jakecreps Jake has been active in the OSINT community for many years now. It was refreshing to hear that Jake didn't just say this is a new OSINT tool, he dissected it.

Jake talked about OPSEC, Critical Thinking around how best to obtain the most information / intelligence. He talked about the security of the platform and it was excellent to hear him give the owners of the platform some cyber security advice too.

He also looked at the Privacy aspect of the platform to see what information you could lose if the platform was breached. A truly exceptional podcast. #OSINT osintnewsletter.com/podcast

Thank you to @OSINTindustries @nattyfried for inviting me along to present at the an icon of the intelligence world, Bletchley Park. It looks like it could be a popular event too.
Where British intelligence began... 💡 Bletchley Park is where codebreakers once joined up fragments of intelligence that, together, changed the war. That same discipline is what modern investigations depend on and why we chose this venue for OSINT Connect. Secure your spot 👇 osint.industries/events/osin…

It is nearly a year since I presented at the Australian OSINT Symposium on the subject of OPSEC. A year is a long time in #OSINT & #OPSEC, and since my presentation I have discussed OPSEC with many people and heard others discuss it.

The Woman in Red is a simulated character in "The Matrix" used in the Agent training program to demonstrate how easily a person can be distracted and manipulated. She appears harmless but can quickly transform into a dangerous Agent.

We can use the same principle from an OPSEC perspective too. The reason Neo noticed her in the first place was because she stood out. Do you want your OPSEC to be the people in the background, all dressed in a shade of black and blending or do you want to be the woman in red?
