Batman Forever cut a major plotline about Bruce questioning Batman's purpose and whether he should retire. It was the core of his arc. Val Kilmer gave one of the best Batman performances ever, and they cut most of his character development.

When the dcu is cancelled and they reboot again they should call the next universe "dc rebirth" and focus on main characters.
