All you have to do to be heroes is put on a mask. Put on a mask and you can save a life. Put on a mask and you can help overwhelmed hospitals and the kids who need care. Put on a mask and you tell those who are at risk that their lives matter to you.

Love to my queer and two-spirit and trans and non-binary people today. We are seeds, we are spores, we are roots and branches. We are mycelium. We are light, and spark, and flame. We are rage and sorrow and joy. We are. – at London, Ontario

Of the 47,717 people who have died from COVID-19 in Canada, I've linked 21,667 deaths to 2493 residential care facilities and 256 deaths to workplace COVID-19 infections.
That's 28 new deaths and 5 new facilities added since November 9.

This is a personal post about the criminal politics of pain. There are some things I have long wanted to share and some things I am reluctant to. Both are in this.
Also my WordPress layout is being wonky for unknown reasons, apologies.

The irony of removing even the measly 5-day Covid isolation for children bc they need to go to school, only to infect large swathes of children and make them very sick causing them to miss even more school. I mean, our govt actually thought this would work?

It’s #NPAW2022. Did you know Indigenous peoples are less likely to seek and access care due to their pain often being minimized or stigmatized? It’s time to #PrioritizePain, address inequities and remove barriers to care in our health care system. PainCanada.ca
