High winds and a lightweight trailer resulted in this unlikely predicament on HWY 385 near the South Dakota border. The trailer was balancing solely on the pickup bed. Chadron based Troopers worked the accident and provided traffic control.

It worked! Chaining old tires together to prevent #irrigation pivot towers from getting stuck in low spots. A guy heard it from a guy, who heard about it from someone, who said somebody somewhere tried it 40 years ago before social media

I’m sure old tractor geeks like me remember theses pics of the proto Versatile track floating around on the net in the late 90s. Well apparently a farmer owns it now and just did a restoration. Really cool to see that it escaped being scrapped, as so many are.
