Running my 5th marathon in 3 years tomorrow. Terry Fox keeps this accomplishment in perspective. #Respect

Solar shortly will be 59% of Botswana's total generation capacity!
Solar does more to electrify Africa & end energy poverty than any technology.
Oil & gas imports are unaffordable for poor countries.
New coal & gas plants are unaffordable.
Solar & batteries are the option!
Interesting exchange with the CFIB staffer witnessing before the parliamentary committee. He was making a reasonable case on behalf of his members. The CPC members turned up the rhetoric, antagonizing the organization representing 100,000 small businesses. The CPC seems lost.
Hi @MichelleRempel. As you likely know, this was testimony from the Canadian Federation of Independent Business, with 103,000 small businesses as members.
The average CFIB member has 5-25 employees and pays us a membership fee of a few hundred dollars per year. And while most are indeed incorporated, your post is quite misleading.
Pretty funny. If it wasn’t Fox I’d think it was staged.
One of the more thoughtful answers I've heard from a politician. Good advice for Canadian voters in blue/red/orange strongholds. If you want better government, be prepared to vote more often as an independent. Even if you cheer for one team, make them earn your vote.
Q: Are you the one who’s going to turn Texas blue?
@JamesTalarico: I’m not interested in turning Texas blue. I wanna win this seat so that I can fight for all 31 million Texans — whether they’re Democrats, independents, or Republicans.
My party talks about turning Texas blue a lot. Republicans talk about keeping Texas red. I think the best color for Texas is purple.
When you have a purple state and competitive elections, it forces every politician in both parties to stay on their toes. My hope in this race is that we can end 30 years of one-party rule and get competitive elections back in Texas so politicians are actually solving problems.

The rate hikes are the result of inflationary pressures brought upon us by rising gasoline prices, thanks to Trump's war against Iran, not "Liberal deficits and taxes on fuel". Go read the MPR. We need a serious Conservative opposition in this country, one that can read.
BREAKING: the Bank of Canada is raising interest rates, hitting Canadians with higher mortgage and borrowing costs.
Mark Carney’s growing Liberal deficits and taxes on fuel only feed the inflationary fire and force these rate hikes.
We must control spending and cut taxes to bring down inflation and interest rates, so we can leave more money in Canadians' pockets: conservative.ca/cpc/save-you…

Adam Hamilton on transgender rights:
“I don’t think we should take a small group of people and bully them, pick on them, and hurt them. I understand one thing really clearly when it comes to transgender people, and that is Jesus told me I was to love my neighbor as I love myself.”
“I’m gonna love the trans person as well as the straight person, male or female. We have to do better than picking on small groups. What’s happened is we’ve turned a group of people into a campaign issue because it polls well.”
I enjoy a good political ad. It would be something if democrats win Mississippi as a result.

…and an hour later, in a show of strength, he unilaterally drops 10 classes of tariffs. More of this bullying please.
"Republicans point out that Acton’s stepfather was never convicted"...operatives are defending the ad noting the accused (who posted bond and was on the run the rest of his life) was never convicted, so how do we really know? I vote in Mahoning Cty, OH. Honoured to vote for Amy.
Mahoning County Court records show that @amyactonoh's stepfather was arrested & charged with sexually abusing Acton, then 12 years old...After pleading not guilty, he posted bond and fled, becoming a fugitive of the state until his death in 2004.

A thread on what seems to be a cover crop success story.
The picture below is my neighbours field of sunn hemp in full flower.
The initial picture was from a neighbouring farm. My initial trial was noticed and is being adopted by others. I think this is great, even though at some level they are competitors. We are all in this together.
What are your tips for crops you grow?
