About The Core, and what I've got planned in my position as a Head Ambassador. The Core (@the_coore ) will be hosting its first Blockpace this Friday in Lagos Nigeria, and I'm super-stoked about it. Since I was elected as a HA 2 months ago, part of my time has been used in working with @Dr_Sirjey and @AgashiHaruna on The Core. The aim is to grow it into an in-house Polkadot marketing agency that Polkadot will be proud of. An agency that doesn't just market Polkadot, but impacts its knowledge in communities. There's a large gap between those who know about Polkadot, and those who use its features. We aim to close this gap... Step-by-step, feature-by-feature... one leap at a time. I'd like to use this Juncture to highlight some points regarding my position as a Head Ambassador: How my time will be spent - 20 hours per week on average will be spent on promoting Polkadot via Educational/Information content, Coordinating and speaking at event, etc, as well as coordinating The Core and working with our awesome team to get stuff done. 10 hours per week on average will be spent on community support on official channels 10 hours per week on average will be spent on in-house activities of the collective, including administration, Ambassadorial support, being a Liaison between the Ambassador Collective and the Moderation/Anti-scam bounty, etc Note that these are just rough estimates. Some activities may take more time than others on some occasions Regarding my current roles in the ecosystem I currently moderate and support the official Polkadot channels, also a curator and executive member of the Anti-scam team. To avoid double-spending, I'll stop receiving rewards from the moderation team bounty as soon as HAs start receiving salaries. Whether I remain with the Anti-scam team or not depends on how much time I have left. Regardless, I'll always remain a Liason between both the Moderation and Anti-scam team, and the Ambassador collective How The Core will be funded. In the beginning, 30% of my salary as HA will go into The Core's treasury. This fund will be used to reward contributors with some reserves for Unforeseen expenses. This is done, so that no extra load is put on the treasury, and gives The Core time to prove its dedication and that it's worthy of being funded by the treasury Down the road, as we make more impact in the eco, we hope the token-holder community will be willing to use the treasury to reward the good work of the team. Sharing Credit Although The Core is a single agency on its own, everyone takes the credit for their work. Collaborations may occur in some cases (eg, person X making content and person Y reviewing it, Person X, Y, and Z spending their time in organizing one of our events, etc). But it should always be clear who did what, just so no one takes the credit for other people's work when it comes to promotion or retention of rank within the Ambassadors Collective.
