A man got fired from his job, was unemployed for 10 months, watched his savings crash 75%, and somehow built one of crypto's biggest exchanges.
> In July 2017, Siemens laid off Hayden Adams, a 24-year-old mechanical engineer.
> He had no software engineering career to fall back on.
> His friend Karl Floersch told him Ethereum was the future and convinced him to learn smart contract development.
> Hayden spent two months learning to code.
> Then Karl showed him an idea from Vitalik Buterin about how people could trade tokens without a traditional exchange matching buyers and sellers.
> Hayden started building a prototype. Called it Uniswap.
> By April 2018, he'd been unemployed for 10 months and the crypto he was living on had lost over 75% of its value.
> Most people would've started looking for another job.
> Hayden booked a flight to South Korea to attend a crypto conference.
> He didn't even have a ticket to the event and was turned away at the entrance.
> Then he ran into Karl, who introduced him to Vitalik Buterin.
> Vitalik pulled out his phone and read Hayden's smart contract right there.
> He adviced him to apply for an Ethereum Foundation grant.
> Hayden applied and got the grant which was valued at around $100,000 on paper.
> After $ETH's price dropped, its actual value was closer to $55,000–$60,000.
> He kept building.
> On November 2, 2018, Uniswap launched on Ethereum.
> Today, it's one of the most important decentralized exchanges in crypto, allowing people to trade tokens without relying on a traditional centralized exchange.
A man lost his job, watched his savings collapse, and built one of crypto's biggest financial platforms.
Imagine if he'd just updated his CV and moved on.

Introducing @Laureum_ai — quality scoring for MCP servers and AI agents by @assisterr
We score 6 dimensions: accuracy, safety, reliability, process quality, latency, and schema quality.
Multi-judge LLM consensus + adversarial probes.
We've scored 28 public MCP servers to date.
Average: 68.3/100. 6 in Expert tier (≥85).
The weakness nobody else measures: process quality — averaging 55.5/100.
Here's why we built it👇
Three gaps in agent eval today:
→ Marketplaces curate by hand. A major MCP catalog operator pruned 17 abandoned /vanity / impersonation entries from their own catalog earlier this month — manually.
→ Eval frameworks (LangSmith, Braintrust, Galileo) score tool-call correctness well. Process quality — error handling, input validation, response structure — sits between them, and nobody surfaces it as a named composite.
→ Post-Drift, the Solana ecosystem just launched STRIDE for smart-contract security. Agent infra still ships without pre-deploy quality gates.
Laureum is the missing layer.
Free right now, no signup:
1/ Quick Scan — paste any MCP server URL, get a 30-second 6-axis score → laureum.ai/evaluate
2/ Public leaderboard — see how the most-used servers rank → laureum.ai/leaderboardIf you're building, run yours. Reply with your score — we'll feature the top 5 this week.
End of the tweet.

Reputation of hundreds of VC firms & founders is at risk due to this scam operation involving #AI & #deepfake. First-hand experience. Investigation. Evidence.
What if your Head of PR was recording hundreds of video calls with your investors, customers and partners to use recordings in a scam operation? Not a theory. A real story I personally witnessed unfold last week.
I was approached by the former Head of PR of the big crypto company with 20,000+ LinkedIn connections in senior crypto and tech circles. I met her in person at the conference last year.
She reached out to me on Telegram and asked me if she could introduce her client, the CEO of a major investment firm, who is interested in our services. I agreed, she arranged the call and sent the link to something that looked like Microsoft Teams.
📌HOW THEY OPERATE
The introduction feels real because everything around it is real. The person approaching you, the reputable VC firm, the people on the call…
During the call, I saw the faces of the CEO of that VC firm, his partner and the woman who made the introduction. Real facial expressions, real people. Or, better to say, real video recordings of those two investors or super-flawless deepfakes.
I couldn't unmute my microphone, and they told me in the chat they couldn't hear me and asked me to fix the tech issue. The window popped up notifying me about webcam/audio incompatibility, and the code I need to run in ‘Terminal’ on my laptop to fix it.
She messaged me on TG asking what was happening. But her facial expression on the call told a different story. After years in business, you unintentionally learn to read people's faces.
That code was malware. A downloader script that runs in the background, using multiple redirects to avoid detection, created to access your personal data, passwords and crypto wallets.
📌POTENTIAL DAMAGE TO REPUTATION OF HUNDREDS OF VCs & FOUNDERS
Imagine hundreds of respected VCs, founders and speakers being reported as scammers by people who believed they were on a video call with them. The reputational damage to these people, whose faces and voices were recorded without their knowledge or were used in deepfakes, could be catastrophic. And beyond reputation, there could be hundreds (if not thousands) of potential victims whose crypto wallets were drained.
📌Bad actors like these disrupt the reputation of the entire blockchain industry.
I have multiple screenshots, code analysis and video recordings as evidence. I am considering reporting this to the relevant authorities.
What would you do in my situation? Please share this post to help protect others.

Jonathan Tah: "Of course we always want to win, but there were many difficult situations and questionable decisions against us today. The team reacted well and gave everything on the pitch. We showed a great mentality. We didn't accept the difficult situation and showed what kind of team we are. With the way we played, things would've been different if we had 11 men on the pitch"
