A very sad day for crypto. Binance confirms nearly $6.3 BILLION was affected in what could be the industry’s largest security incident to date. The industry came together quickly to freeze nearly $3 Billion in assets that left the world’s largest crypto exchange. The attacker exploited a vulnerability in EIP-7702 delegation which allows hot wallets to hand control to smart contract code. The attack began around 4:30pm ET on Thursday, per on-chain data from Arkham. Blockaid's preliminary assessment points to a "key misuse," similar to the Bybit exploit, where attackers compromise the signing infrastructure, though the firm says there isn’t enough information at this point to confirm. Funds left across Ethereum, Bitcoin and Tron, and the attacker reportedly still holds over 18,000 $BTC. Tether froze $1.567 BILLION in $USDT and Circle froze over $800 MILLION in $USDC. Ripple, World Liberty, BitGo and Paxos also froze stolen assets, and Arbitrum's Security Council froze around $30.5 MILLION. Aave froze its lending markets as a precaution, after the attacker borrowed $ETH against stolen $USDT. Markets took a hit as the news spread: Crypto cascaded to liquidate nearly $1.5 BILLION in the past 24 hours. $BTC fell below $77,000, and $ETH below $2,200. Altcoins reportedly sold by the attacker, including $ENA, $UNI, $LINK and $PEPE, fell around -10% to -15%. Binance has suspended deposits and withdrawals while it runs security checks and works with law enforcement. The exchange reassures all users funds are safe and it "will cover ALL losses" owith a full post-mortem to follow once its investigation is complete.
⚑️LATEST: Binance says it has "not confirmed any impact to user funds" amid a potential security issue. The exchange says its security teams are actively investigating and will share updates through official channels. Tether and Circle have frozen over $2.3 BILLION in stablecoins linked to the incident. Binance advised users to stay cautious of scams and not trust unofficial links or messages.

If approved, $STRC will start paying daily dividends one week from today. It will be the first global security with calendar day accruals, paving the way for the digital transformation of capital markets.

Earlier today, Arkadiko suffered a governance attack. A malicious contract passed through governance and was used to drain most of the assets held in Arkadiko vaults, causing USDA to lose its peg. 1/n

helipad and a few more assets finished these days - the more assets we create the more excited we are about the release of the game and your reactions. a few people we're asking about UAP and SALT - how things will be integrated and how we keep the token alive, so here some more information: as you begin your journey on the moon you will first need to create a base. your base will contain a lot of buildings, and those buildings will have a lot of upgrades, including battle 'companions'. just like in any other RTS/RPG game, upgrades will be driven by resources, and in order to get resources you will need to complete quests, mine materials, fight battles and so on. by spending UAP or spending SALT (special salt upgrades/buildings only) you will be able to upgrade faster, get exclusive things in the game and much more. a percentage of those tokens will be burned, the bigger proportion however goes back to you and other players as rewards you can claim in a variety of situations in the game. so the tokens you spend are not necessarily 'lost', if you're playing wisely you can also make more than you spend - assuming other players spend tokens as well. it's a classic flywheel game economy which not only burns supply, but also incentivizes people to play and most importantly keep playing as well as inviting other people to play with them (yes, multiplayer alliances). of course there will be limits in place in order to avoid a 'pay to play' scenario where whales have a much bigger advantage than players who just want to play for fun. another part of the game economy will be the marketplace - during your time playing you will eventually collect a lot of drops and items other players might need, so you will be able to sell them for UAP or buy items you need with our token. there are also quite a lot of other functions connecting both SALT and UAP to the game, but we don't want to ruin all surprises. last but not least, if you are on stacks and have not secured your UAP bag yet, its still early, we have only 189 holders and the price is still cheap, which will certainly change once the demo is out.

Small change in the lore and progress map exploration by levels. Level 1 is the moon - every player will start there, think of it as a playground, where you learn how to play, where you train how to fight, complete quests, get experience, fight other players (and enemies). From the very beginning other players will be fighting against/with you which will be much more fun. You will be able to create raid teams and fight bigger enemies together and much more. You will also be able to build permanent structures, like your base (hangar) where your UAP's will be kept, mining structures (demo below), crew quarters, automated defense systems and much more. You will also be able to both earn and lose $UAP (not mandatory). We will make the moon-map much bigger than the example maps in the past 2 devlog's, so that it can easily accommodate up to 100 players simultaneously and you have something to do over months. The engine and art also changed, we will go with a 'fake isometric' style, like the classic command and conquer to make the game more fun to play. Then once we have enough players (with a minimum XP) we open the earth territories which you will then be able to conquer, starting from 8 territories and expanding the more users join the game. So the lore goes Moon (Base/Training) -> Earth (Conquest) -> Earth beyond the Icewall (Exploration/Conquest). As a result we are quite sure we will be able to launch not just an alpha, but a beta by Christmas and have people start playing. Given how much time we spend and will be spending on this, there might also be a single-player version coming out which will not be crypto related and available on Steam.

ALEX Buyback and Burn: A LiALEX Route Is Coming With LISA winding down, LiALEX redemption remains open but takes about four months from request. Selling on the ALEX/LiALEX pool is faster, but currently at a discount. πŸ”—medium.com/alexgobtc/alex-bu… In the next few weeks, subject to a DAO governance proposal, the buyback will add a second route. Alongside buying and burning $Alex, it will be able to use the $Alex it buys to buy LiALEX on the pool, redeem it, and burn all the $Alex returned. πŸ”ΈAdds a buyer for LiALEX, which should narrow the discount for early exits πŸ”ΈBurns more $Alex per STX spent Every $Alex acquired is still burned: immediately on the direct route, at redemption on the LiALEX route LiALEX holders can sell on the pool, or redeem 1:1 in about four months. No action required. ALEX Lab Foundation commits to supporting redemption after the LISA wind-down, including instructions for redeeming directly on the contract.
