People aren’t thinking big enough about these new trader coins popping up. Like imagine if kimchi spun out a branded launchpad. And since he’s goated he could do something like if you pay in kimchi coin you get kimchi verified, and then everyone knows your coin is legit.

Bit of a long shot, but has anyone in my network heard of an underground festival called “Burning Man”? One of my buddies went this year to “heal from the trauma of late-stage capitalism and reconnect with his inner child.” He spent nine days in a k-hole with three management consultants called Chase, Tyler and Blake, then came home and launched an AI recruitment startup. Inspiring. #Community #RadicalSelfExpression #FindingYourWhy

I’m afraid many people are still missing the point of memefi and why it isn’t just about alternate pairings. the next $100B is coming on chain through tokenized equity. that part is settled. the question is where it flows next. altcoin pairs are fun because they let you catch parabolic upside with low friction. in that sense they’re a feature just like multichain apps. it’s not novel, it’s just repackaged. but new money hasn’t flowed into crypto in years. you can’t sustain a profit because you’re trading amongst yourselves. when $100B flows into tokenized equity, equity pairs are just a derivative, like options. they are something retail immediately understands, novel enough to wake up dormant capital, and a new primitive the big players are incentivized to push. don’t miss the forest for the trees.

anything/anything memes were solved. so i took a break. but always kept a pulse on the market. robinhood chain + wallet rollout is what first piqued my interest. saw cashcat, bought some but it wasn’t really new. we’ve played this game before. something becomes culturally relevant, someone makes a meme around it, a market forms around the attention. then i kept looking and found something weirder: memes paired with stocks. robinhood, one of the biggest retail trading platforms in the world, had started putting stocks onchain. rwas never made sense to me, btw. i never understood why i should get excited about real estate onchain when i can just… buy real estate. but this clicked. money had already become internet-native. now real assets were becoming internet-native too. which meant they could interact with all the weird things the internet had invented around money. and stocks are a particularly good place for this to start, because stocks are already internet culture. people have relationships with companies, tickers, founders. they argue about them, meme them, build communities around them. now the assets themselves are entering the same environment as the culture that surrounds them. i’ve been calling this culture/capital: serious assets learning to spread like memes, culture becoming a distribution layer for capital. so i started digging into who’s building in this new game. most of what i found were launchpads. you can create memes paired with stocks. at first i thought the interesting thing was simply that you could pair the two. it’s not. the interesting thing is what becomes possible once the relationship exists. a cultural asset can now have a direct economic relationship with a productive one. take carry, one simple consequence. a meme is basically a carryless cultural asset. you hold it and your outcome depends almost entirely on what happens to the meme itself. attach an underlying and suddenly the cultural asset can accumulate something outside itself. meme + underlying introduces carry into an otherwise carryless cultural asset. you could say this is just reflections, or cashback, or dividends, or yield farming reinvented. maybe. finance has been recycling the same primitives since bartering. the interesting part was never the primitive itself. it’s what we’re starting to attach the primitives to. and that’s where it started getting much weirder for me. culture has always produced value. it just couldn’t keep it. we make songs, images, characters, stories, jokes and when they get valuable, something else has always had to keep the proceeds. the creator, the label, the company, the platform, the ip holder. culture spreads, institutions retain. memecoins gave culture a price, but the economic output is still mostly a closed loop of attention into price and back into attention. what happens when the cultural object itself can start keeping some of it? memecoins already made the first jump: a viral thing on the internet could become an asset. now the asset can start owning things. what happens when a meme develops a balance sheet? when something that used to only carry meaning and attention can start owning assets and accumulating value outside itself? that’s already a strange new object. not autonomous necessarily. owning something and being able to act on your own are two different things. but something that used to only be owned is now entering the class of things that can own. things can get absurd really fast. and this is where i think it gets much bigger than memes paired with stocks. creators have always tried to create something valuable. creating something capable of accumulating value is a different project entirely. the question stops being “how do i monetize this thing?” and becomes “what can this thing own? what can it keep? what happens to it after me?” culture always spawns from somewhere, too. someone made the first image, wrote the song, created the character, started the joke. which unfortunately brings me back to nfts. i increasingly think they arrived before a lot of the things they were actually useful for. yes art and collectibles are real. but the internet got incredibly good at copying and distributing things and incredibly bad at remembering where they came from. when culture couldn’t keep anything, forgetting where it came from was mostly a cultural problem. when things can start owning things, “where did this come from?” becomes an economic question too. an internet full of remixable, economically capable objects is going to need a way to remember where things came from. and then a bunch of things we’ve spent years experimenting with started looking different to me. a meta arrives, everyone loses their mind, the trade gets crowded, it dies and we move on. but the capability doesn’t die with the trade. nft mania came and went, provenance remained. defi summer came and went, programmable finance remained. the ai agent trade came and went, but software being able to hold a wallet and act economically remained interesting. memecoin mania will eventually come and go, but culture becoming instantly liquid isn’t going away. rwas might stop being a narrative one day, but the world’s assets being internet-native will remain. the metas die. the capabilities accumulate. eventually the accumulated capabilities start to compose. culture/capital is the version i’ve been chewing on, but the more i look at it, the more it feels like one instance of something larger: anything/anything. once all of this lives in the same environment, arbitrary things can start having economic relationships with other arbitrary things. culture can own capital. capital can distribute through culture. one cultural object can own another. the number of possible relationships explodes. i don’t know what the final object looks like and i think pretending to know would miss the interesting part. we spent the last decade building all these weird toys separately. now they’re starting to compose.

admitting that memes have gotten so bad that there is utility in having a curation layer (which used to just happen through ct naturally) does not feel bullish memecoins long term and should probably open up a broader discussion, particularly bc market is so copytrader driven atm. we can see the issues with this through the profitable onchain trader metric being sub-10% while hyperliquid’s is 25% (i would have thought those would be flipped) coins that do well typically have a quarterback but having a singular kol give a stamp of approval to guarantee of some form of safety or vetting just feels akin to “hold a bored ape and get whitelisted for xyz mint” where there’s no real safety or guarantee. it creates a bottleneck where rather than the collective deciding what a good coin is and encouraging people to learn how to think for themselves and figure out what makes a good coin, coins become even more reliant on a small handful of people or one person dictating all of it. buy coins that someone says are good and approve with a badge on their platform or it’s not going to go up this is no different than the many (short lived) bsc seasons where for a couple weeks everyone tries to frontrun binance alpha listings, or figure out what base is going to tweet, or who vlad is going to follow. none of these games are sustainable because they rely on one person or entity to make something go up compare this to 2024 where yes interactions/listings/posts moved coins, but the focus was on the coin itself being good enough to warrant those things, not because the coin itself was KOL-bait. every coin has essentially turned into a tweet coin where traders are waiting for someone to post before they buy or sell, and I feel like a curation layer exacerbates this I’ve hit good trades participating in these types of coins (Elon coins, aster, 4, miggles etc) but the bulk of the best trades that I had last cycle were coins that had either an organic community that formed and grew or a dev/dev team that was obsessed with delivering a good product bootstrapping some form of community is a good concept but a curation layer feels like a solution that’s just kicking the can down the road or potentially making the copytrading-only (and the “this coin is gonna get ‘crimed’” thesis) issue worse. memecoins are currently going the same route that NFTs went and there needs to be a new game or a new way to play them to prevent them from going that direction, unless there’s something im missing here, and admittedly I could be missing something because some smart people that I follow think of this as a positive direction for onchain a lot of the current conditions onchain can be attributed to shaking off the bear market and most of these things can get solved with time, but if they can be solved with time, why is the solution - at its core, basically tailing a KOL - needed at all? if a curation layer were launching at a different time in the market maybe I’d have a different perspective on it, but right now it feels like it’s keeping the ship pointed in the same direction: low profitability for most, and emphasis on copytrading, teaching new coiners to only buy coins that are approved by someone with clout

When Pasternak was first thinking about building in crypto he called me and i was like: Listen bro these people will shit talk you, call you names, say your girls too hot for you, imply you're heavily retarded, and generally make your life a living hell. BUT, but- if you run the project well and make them money, then they will give themselves all the credit bc they're "good traders" who can "spot value" So yeah, you're gonna love it dude come aboard

It’s unfortunate how bitter and envious the majority of CT are when they see a coin go PvE-mode and they’re sidelined. I’m not even in KTA myself. I have zero involvement whatsoever, But I can at least root for a winner for the OVERALL BENEFIT of crypto seeing something OTHER than a “memecoin” go up only. It’s reminiscent of a true bull market at heart of it and attracts sophisticated investors. Which is MORE MONEY flowing into our world. Everyone wins long-term. It’s so easy to find reasons to hate and cope, it’s the same as being a permabear. You can ALWAYS find something silly to be bearish about if you dig hard enough. Using “KOLs shilled” as a coping mechanism to justify missing out on a liquid x10, if not higher, is comically bad FUD. If “KOLs” could make something send as hard as this, you’d see enormous runs every other week. But you don’t. Because it isn’t dependent on just a few anonymous characters on CT speaking highly of something. There are hundreds of extractive and misleading people/coins in this game, This isn’t one. ~ Dr. Axius. Retar Dio.
$KTA is not supply controlled The tokenomics are transparent and the tokens are vested over 3 years The team could've easily bundled, kept it undisclosed and nuked the entire way up but they didnt Once this blows over i expect $KTA to go much higher with this new mindshare increase this just hardens the already cult like community

Feels like the market was uncertain how to react to pumpfun, sold off launchcoin, but then quickly realized the correct take is that $150M for launchcoin is cheap when pump is $4B
Liking the behavior we're continuing to see on Launchcoin. Previous times it lost 4H trend, it was then rejected trying to reclaim. This time it popped immediately back above.
