Urgent Hiring! We’re actively recruiting for the following roles:

Blast shut down this month after pulling in over $2B in deposits. It is one of 82 protocols to close in 2026, per Stacy Muur's count. Those teams are on the market now, and the engineers and BD leads are not junior. Are you hiring from the shutdown pool or watching it?
31
Exchanges are posting 2.4x more compliance and legal roles than sales roles. 145 vs 61, per Tiger Research's H1 2026 hiring report. Crypto stopped hiring to grow and started hiring to get licensed.

General Compute raised $100M at $800M, up from $60M in May. Luxor and Hyperbolic raised too. AI compute is now pulling from the same pool as crypto infra: people who have run mining or validator fleets at scale. Are you hiring for this or watching it?

The first compliance hire at a crypto payments company is one of the hardest searches there is. The brief says build it from zero. The only people qualified have usually done it once already, and there are very few of them.

Why it stalls. Big-institution compliance leaders have the title and the regulator credibility, but most have never worked a sanctions case on-chain. Crypto-native people have the on-chain skills, but many have never owned a program with a board watching.

The people with both are almost always employed, senior and on no job board. If you are hiring this seat, the real question is which part of the brief you will trade. Which goes first: the on-chain skills or the regulator credibility?
14
A crypto job ad with no comp range filters out the wrong people. The senior engineer with two offers skips it. The person with no options applies anyway. You end up interviewing the pool you did not want, then negotiating with people who had no anchor. Put the range in the ad.

The usual objection: competitors will see our bands. They already can. Every candidate you interview tells the next recruiter. Remote is 40.2% of crypto postings per Tiger Research's H1 2026 report. Your ad is read next to five others. A range gets it shortlisted.

$404M of longs liquidated in four hours on Oct 24 as bitcoin dipped under $80,000. Traders reset in minutes. Hiring teams reset in quarters. Teams that pause searches in a drawdown restart from zero. Are you hiring through this dip, or waiting it out?
65
Crypto has cut at least 7,411 jobs in 2026. The senior people you want to hire are still not moving. Both are true, and the second one is what loses you offers.

Two pools. Cut or worried: deep. In Switzerland we see roles pulling 300 to 400 applicants and closing in a day or two. Employed senior: safe, not applying, weighing your role against being the newest person in the building if cuts come.

A bigger number does not move pool two. A runway they can verify. A twelve month plan someone says out loud. A process that does not wobble between rounds. What got you to move in a market like this?

a16z Crypto is now a16z Frontier. Nearly $10B raised since 2018 and the word crypto just left the name. The capital is rotating. The talent follows it. Crypto teams now bid against AI and robotics for the same engineers. Are you hiring into that shift, or watching it?
69
Crypto.com hired Western Union's former global head of compliance as CCO. The last one left for Binance. Exchanges are now buying compliance leaders from payments incumbents and from each other. Are you hiring compliance leads this quarter, or watching others take them?
70
Take-home test take. A ten hour unpaid assignment filters for spare time, not skill. Your best candidate has two other processes and no free weekend. Keep it under two hours, pay for anything longer, or review real work live instead. What does your test cost a candidate?
79
RTO take. A crypto team hired remote that now wants three days a week in an office is changing comp, not culture. Candidates price it: rent, commute, relocation, unpaid. If the office is for a licence, say so in the offer. If not, your senior people have remote offers already.
94
82 crypto projects shut down in 2026, per Stacy Muur's list. DeFiLlama found nine of its dead raised over $50M each. Funding was never the moat. Their engineers and BD leads are on the market now. The good ones go in weeks. Hiring from these teams, or watching others do it?

Friday dates drop, EU edition. 8 Oct: ESMA told MiCA-licensed firms to stop offering non-compliant stablecoins to EU clients. 8 Jan 2027: the deadline. 30 Oct: the date one large US exchange gave its EU customers to move. That is a hiring timeline, not just a compliance one.

Seat two: regulatory change management. Not a general counsel. Someone who turns a regulator opinion into a project plan with 27 national variations and runs it to a date. Banks have had this role for 15 years. Crypto mostly has not. Those people sit in banks, unasked so far.

Seat three: customer migration product. Auto-conversions, comms, complaints. It decides whether the firm keeps those customers in January. The Council agreed its position on direct ESMA supervision on 9 Oct. Not law yet. If it lands, all three reopen. Which are you short?
