Jesse Pollak spent July 15 telling everyone his social bet on Base was wrong. Q1 2026 was “a punch in the face”, the Base App went back to Coinbase, Cobie took it over.
Three months later Ethos Trade has him at 71% trust. Screenshot price, it moves.
Is 71 a lot? I flip every time I look at it.
For: he said it out loud and nobody forced him. Then he shipped. Azul May 28, Beryl June 25, Cobalt September 30, three mainnet upgrades in about four months. I spotted B20Token in Base’s GitHub back in May, so I watched this one come from commits, not threads.
Against: Cobalt went live without native account abstraction, which was on the June roadmap. By his own account the social detour cost Base ground in perps and prediction markets. And the market judging him runs on Base, my guess is most bettors farm his chain. I do too, so don’t read me as neutral.
What breaks it? Smart accounts and 200ms blocks actually arrive in the coming months, Base catches up in perps, the number runs. Another missed deadline plus another long mea culpa and I honestly can’t tell which way it goes. That’s the part I can’t price.

Interesting notice bout $JUMP:
- 10 days since pre-market on Aspecta launched
- It usually drops down over the time, but nice to see price consolidating at $153m FDV
- VOL is ok, in total there were trades on $150k, which means market has liquidity to absorb
- That's x2 from the ICO price
