I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.

CZ Binance really just unblocked me to DM that he’s sending me a cease and desist order because I made a post saying I think Binance is secretly insolvent. This is definitely something a totally solvent, safe, and secure exchange would do. Not suspicious at all!
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
CZ himself has issued a statement saying this is a fake image: x.com/cz_binance/sta…

No, whales are not buying enormous amount of Bitcoin. Most Bitcoin whale data out there has been "affected" by exchanges consolidating a lot of their holdings into fewer addresses with larger balances, this is why whales seem to have accumulated a lot of coins recently. We have data that removes all exchange addresses, and it data shows whale balances declining (first chart). The same applies for addresses with 100-1K Bitcoin, which captures ETFs holdings (second chart).

88% of the 914 participants said they would not trust their money with #Binance Yet Binance remains the largest price discovery venue in crypto, especially for altcoin pairs. That contradiction matters. As long as massive liquidity stays parked there, opaque internal dynamics will continue to influence market prices. This does not change through criticism alone. It only changes when capital actually leaves. Binance failed repeatedly, structurally, and predictably. It broke AML and sanctions laws at scale. It admitted it. 4300000000 USD in fines. The founder pleaded guilty. This is criminal liability at the core of the company. There is still no full, verifiable audit. Proof of reserves without liabilities is not transparency. It is theatre. Users cannot see real balance sheet risk. They are asked to trust a black box with systemic importance. Price integrity has been compromised again and again. Abnormal wicks. Exchange specific crashes. Liquidations triggered on Binance prices that never existed elsewhere. Because Binance is the main price oracle for altcoins, its internal issues become everyone’s problem. Custody is fully centralised. Users do not control keys. Wallet structure is opaque. Internal fund flows are not auditable in real time. If something goes wrong, users are unsecured creditors. History already showed how that ends. Rules change without warning. Trading pauses. Parameter shifts. Delistings. No due process. No appeal. No accountability. You play on their field, by their rules, updated whenever it suits them. They see everything. Positions. Liquidation levels. Flows. That asymmetry alone is toxic. Even if abused only once, trust is permanently gone. You cannot prove it is not abused. Binance shaped the culture. Extreme leverage pushed to retail. Losses normalised. Responsibility shifted to users. The house always survives. The crowd does not. The problem is not Binance being evil. The problem is Binance being too powerful, too opaque, and still central to price discovery. As long as people keep their money there, nothing changes. Not the behaviour. Not the incentives. Not the risk.

@binance, Thanks for including me in the top 100 blockchain people list, appreciate the signal! I must decline the Dubai invite though. I do not wish to disrespect, but many of the award voters are avid kaspians who rooted for my kaspa status at least as much as for my research. Let them win or count me out. Crypto has turned from a euphoric cypherpunk project to a house-friendly casino. You may not be the culprit, but as a top player you hold the lion’s share of the responsibility to correct this, and the October crash your USDe oracle glitch helped trigger adds to what needs to be addressed. There are three classes of crypto, as @mert put it recently: commercial crypto, casino crypto, cypherpunk crypto. <<Binance should hold a privilege policy for the latter.>> A TBTF CEX should know better and play a different game with hardcore crypto projects. When binance lists a green frog three weeks post its “launch” but skips a fair-launched-Nakamoto-Consensus-100ms-upgrade-ATH-top-20-the-only-nonbitcoin-marathon-mined project, this is not merely binance rationally calculating; it is also binance molding the market in a way that is alas misaligned with the roots of the movement. You may feel that kaspa’s sovereign money thesis is boring – that bitcoin is already money and that implementing an internet-speed bitcoin is useless - fine. Wrong but fine. But what’s the thesis for the green frog? Money is a classic chicken-and-egg product. It is a scam up until one moment before tipping point, “most of the value comes from the value that others place in it.” Considering your resources and influence, I think it's safe to say you can serve as both the egg and the chicken and make it worth your while to push sound attempts towards tipping point. @cz_binance tweeted recently that “strong projects will be listed.” But binance is part of what defines "strong", it bears responsibility for the market’s compass and impulse and definition of strong. It is not a read-only entity. Binance listing fees are legit, they are just unfit for category cypherpunk. Kaspa devs and early supporters fairly mined less than half what satoshi and hals mined. We don’t have a 20% ZEC-style founders’ reward or protocol-enforced dev fund; this is not a jab at ZEC and the wonderful @Zooko, who was crashing in my car on a late Thursday back in the low ZEC MC days – if somebody deserves to win it is zooko – but assuming binance is not taking a maxi bet, it should revisit its relationship with hardcore crypto. We are here through bull and bear, ICOs NFTs XYZs; and we are the source of confidence that restores faith and capital inflow post meme-induced or CEX-induced crashes. Please fix this. Thanks again, hashdag cc @michaelsuttonil Exhibit A: Binance Innovation Zone Exhibit B: 10 bps Nakamoto Consensus

Kaspa $KAS Massive Upside Potential! Look at this insane comparison – if $KAS reaches the market caps of the top 5 cryptos, we're talking life-changing gains! BTC's MC: $85.25 per KAS (1,041x) ETH's MC: $19.94 (243x) XRP's MC: $6.81 (83x) BNB's MC: $4.64 (57x) SOL's MC: $4.48 (55x) Kaspa's DAG tech is revolutionary: instant transactions, high throughput, no compromises on security. While others struggle with scalability, KAS is built for the future. The bull run is just starting – don't miss out! #KAS

The snowball of Coinbase freezing accounts with impossible hoops to jump through is happening. If you have substantial money on there seriously consider moving it. Plus they've already leaked all your private information so you are at more risk staying on there.
7 years of doing business with @coinbase and they lock me out stating they need documentation showing "proof of employment". I've been full time crypto since 2020, now they pull this. Done with this crap exchange and doing all my business with @krakenfx from now on. Better in every way.

Lightning was a good solution to Bitcoin's scalability problem. That is, until Kaspa went 10 blocks per second. Kaspa is faster, cheaper, and safer on the base layer.

$TAO Sturdy isn’t just building a bridge, they are building a cash flow machine for Sturdy holders. Every time someone will move assets between $ETH, $SOL, and $TAO, a small fee goes to Sturdy. But that’s just one layer, there is more. The bridged assets (like USDC) don’t sit idle they’re actually deployed into yield strategies earning around 5% annually. On top of that, TaoFi swaps charge fees, and if Sturdy provides liquidity, it earns a share. Then there’s its lending platform, where Sturdy already takes a cut of the interest borrowers pay. It’s a beautifully designed system, just that most sleep on it, but not for long, get ready for some parabolic moves 🚀
