Get an inside look at our Connecticut River Bridge Project, which has made significant progress since breaking ground just over a year ago and remains on schedule and budget.
The modern bridge replacement now under construction between Old Saybrook and Old Lyme, CT, will improve reliability, boost top speeds by 55%, and deliver smoother, safer travel along the Northeast Corridor when it opens by 2031.
None of this would be possible without the strong support of Amtrak’s funding partners at the Federal Railroad Administration and Connecticut Department of Transportation.
