As I'm wrapping up the Mixing & Mastering for my new Hip-Hop Album, I'm forced to reflect on my Great friend & Legendary Emcee "Chino XL" who passed away 2 summers ago, his cause of death wasn't announced when it happenned & i'm just learning through the fake news that he passed from suicide. It breaks my heart because life is soo precious and Chino was a precious Soul. It wasn't always about music, we talked about the kids, joked on tight ass jeans/jeggings & sometimes we even had our political arguments/disagreements, but all in all that was my big brother, it's hard to understand the pain a man goes through especially as a father, husband, mentor, provider and public figure. Chino did an interview some years back & was asked was there any Emcee in the industry that he admired. He said Blaq Poet, well it's just by Chance I got Chino XL & Blaq on a record together on my new Album!!! Rest in Paradise to all the loved ones we've lost, cherrish life, make love, less hate.
