「アンダーグラウンド」と「メインストリーム」という話で言うと、その対比を象徴するような出来事が1997年にあって、
90年代アンダーグラウンドラップの代表作、Company Flow『Funcrusher Plus』
かたや、ヒップホップ史上初めてBillboard Hot 100初登場1位を記録した『I'll Be Missing You』を収録したPuff Daddy & The Family『No Way Out』
この2つの作品が、同じ1997年7月22日にリリースされたという、偶然にしては出来すぎだろという話があります

ROVR RADIO
新しい映像見てください🫶❤️
In a world where algorithms decide what we hear, everything starts to feel predictable.
“The music that stayed with me didn’t come from feeds - it came from digging through records, from unexpected finds, from someone saying ‘you need to hear this.’” — @mayumikiller
That’s what ROVR is about.
A space where people choose - records, sounds, and connections. Where music is culture, shaped by moments, conversations, and human feeling. Where digging, sampling, and discovery create something new beyond the algorithm.
24/7 music. No interruptions. No algorithm. Just taste.
Curated by a worldwide roster of quality selectors.
Keep track of your favorite tracks.
Follow your favorite curators.
Discover music beyond the algorithm.
ROVR Radio - Radio, reimagined.
